Seems like the Celtics could beat that if they wanted to beat it.

Seems like anyone could beat it, that's "all out"?

I'm sure there is draft capital involved.

I think beating a bunch of tanking teams and teams missing key pieces will end any hope of a big trade. Ownership will get their late seed to get those playoff millions, fans in the seats and don’t have to go into the tax. It’s literally best case scenario for them. I expect some rearranging of the deck chairs nothing major

POBO might be fuming too, he probably thought he'd be an easy flip, but now the guys love him and he's playing great in a role we have needed for years off the bench!

danny making leaks.

THat is a pretty easy trade to beat, imo.

Ingles is dead salary, ONeal is a nice player, but far from spectacular.

Horford and Schroeder to Utah
Clarkson, Romeo, Brown Jr to Sacramento along with Utah and Boston 2nds
Schroder to Chicago
Ingles and Barnes to Boston

(can swap Ingles and Clarkson destinations and still works)

That seems good for everyone right?

Celtics are now 15th in Offensive Eff. and 3rd in Defensive Eff. in the NBA

Seems like if Brad Stevens could do something to help the offense the Celtics could go on a nice run in the postseason. Get to work Brad!

I get the feeling a Bos/Utah/Sac three way trade is being kicked around. Just a hunch.

Hey Brad, let me help make this easy for you:
Step 1 - Trade Dennis Schroder (for anything you can get....seriously anything!!!)
Step 2 - I'll leave the rest up to you! (just make SURE you do step 1 first!!!)
Step 3 - Double check to make sure that Step 1 was taken care of!!!)

Depends how far into the future they want to go, but of course they do.

Draft capital: Utah owes Memphis a future first-round pick that is top-six protected in 2022, top-three in 2023 and top-one in 2024. Two years after the pick to Memphis is conveyed, the Jazz will send Oklahoma City a first-round pick that is top-10 protected in 2024 and 2025 and top-eight protected in 2026.

Pick Swaps

2022 — Owe a first-rounder (top-six protected in 2022, top-three protected in 2023, top-one in 2024 otherwise converts to 2025 and 2026 second-rounders) from the Memphis Grizzlies (Mike Conley). If conveyed, the 2026 second-rounder will go to the Golden State Warriors (Eric Paschall).
2022 — Owed a second-rounder from the Memphis Grizzlies (Santiago Aldama).
2022 — Owe a second-rounder to the New Orleans Pelicans (Elijah Hughes).
2023 — Owe a second-rounder to the New York Knicks (Ed Davis).
2024 — Owed a first-rounder (two-years after the obligation to the Memphis Grizzlies, top-10 protected through 2025, top-8 protected in 2026, otherwise converts to a 2028 second-rounder) to the Oklahoma City Thunder (Derrick Favors).
2024 — Higher of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Jazz second-rounders to the New York Knicks, the higher of the Indiana Pacers and (the lower of the Cavaliers and Jazz) to the Memphis Grizzlies, the lowest to the Pacers (George Hill, Ed Davis, James Harden, Isaiah Todd, Grayson Allen).
2026 — Owed a second-rounder (31-42) from the Memphis Grizzlies (Santiago Aldama). Will convey to the Golden State Warriors if 43-60 (Eric Paschall).
2027 — Owed the lowest second-rounder from the Indiana Pacers, Houston Rockets, Miami HEAT and Oklahoma City Thunder (Derrick Favors).
2027 — Owe a second-rounder to the Cleveland Cavaliers (Rayjon Tucker).

Schroeder / Schroder in there twice...
... separately, I can't see Sacramento taking less than a 1st for Barnes. Isnt a generic 1st better than every asset they get in this trade? Also with Barnes trades (a 3/4) there best players are essentially Mitchell, Haliburton, Hield, and Fox... all 1's/2's so not sure where Clarkson fits in there. I suppose a separate Buddy deal would create a spot for Clarkson.

Looks like Utah has its own 2024 pick. That's about it for significant draft capital.

lol, oops.

Horford to Utah
Ingles, Romeo and Brown Jr and Boston 1st to Sacramento
Clarkson, Barnes to Boston

I do that. Clarkson can be flipped or used in offseason for trade balast

Not looking for much this season. Hoping for some fireworks in the off-season. But please trade Dennis.

Haha I had that thought too, if they are looking for wings, maybe they get Romeo instead of Sacramento? Really though, I would take Ingles if we're offloading Horford, we can likely sign him in the offseason with bird rights for less than Horford's dead money.

So what about:

Barnes to Utah
Horford, Utah 1st, Brown Jr to Sacramento
Schroeder to Chicago
Ingles, Clarkson, Chicago 2nd to Boston
