Jordan Clarkson to the Lakers
Horford and THT to the Jazz
Ingles, Nunn, Romeo and boston 1st to Sacramento
Barnes, O'Neal and Woodard to Boston

Smart/Schroder/Pritchard
Brown/Richardson/Thomas
Tatum/O'Neal/Hauser
Barnes/Grant/Woodard
Timelord/Kanter/Bruno

Pretty obvious the next moves to make to tighten up the roster a bit more.

The Jazz are looking to acquire a wing, not trade one away.

Utah doesn’t have the pieces to get Barnes or Grant. They can get Richardson if they give up a 1st and/or deal Clarkson to a third team. We don’t have a use for him unless we have a separate Smart trade ready to go.

This might be crazy to say, but I preferred Brad Wanamaker when he played for us than what we're getting from off-the-bench Schroder. Even if he's the worst at passing forward in transition.

1 week away from the trade deadline and there really are not a lot of rumors concerning any team in the NBA. Watch this trade deadline be a complete dud.

Hopefully it's the calm before the storm :D

Yes, that's one reason why they need another wing, like Barnes or Grant. But it's just posturing, since they don't have the assets to get either one.

Isn't Clarkson like a much higher paid Schroder? Utah just doesn't have much to offer unless they're deal one of their top 4 guys.

We need a shooter, you say?

Schroder for Strus. Schroder for G. Mathews. Schroder for Bryn Forbes. Schroder for Desmond Bane.

Lol.

Shroder for Batum is the dream. A fruitless, not to exist dream but a dream nonetheless.

POBO might be fuming too, he probably thought he'd be an easy flip, but now the guys love him and he's playing great in a role we have needed for years off the bench!

what is POBO I keep seeing it
it refers to stevens but is this an acronym
can't figure it out ha

Kind of. Clarkson was sixth man of the year last season, Schroder finished second to Montrezl two years ago.. Clarkson's on relatively good money but he's 15 months older and will be 30 in June. Slumping like hell this year, but if he comes out of it he'd be a useful hold-over lead guard for a couple of seasons. A little better at creating for himself than DS.

& if we're not trading Smart I could imagine someone else wanting Clarkson in the short term.. Get Clarkson/1st for Josh and get a 1st for Clarkson from Cleveland..?

I continue to have no interest in Richardson for Beasley. You can make the case that Beasley is the better individual player but it's marginal and JRich fits in perfectly with the guys on the team and what we do on the court. And he hasn't been arrested on drug and weapons charges. And Wolves fans on the GB are anxious to dump Beasley, which isn't a ringing endorsement.

The only thing Beasley does significantly better, IMO, is get up more shots. Career wise he's not even that much better of a 3pt shooter. I'd rather have Josh any day.
