If the Magic is so violently apposed to SRPs, then why not package one with a rotational player to move to the low first round?

It's not like Dario Šarić and the Suns 2024 FRP (lotto protected) for Ross and the Magic 2022 SRP is complex.

Because everyone knows the draft flattens after the top 6!
Picks 7-60 are all basically the same, so why bother

So many good players in recent years. ...that particular deal, however, assuming we get #1...means we give them Ross to move up 1 spot into a guaranteed contract.

nahhhh
Its all hype, no good players drafted after 6! MAYBE top 10, but thats it!

Trade away or sell any pick not in the top 10!

BUT, on a more serious note, i actually think teams value the 1st pick of the 2nd rounder more than the last pick of the first round BECAUSE of the guaranteed contract factor. I think teams would rather not have to guarantee a contract to a player, sign then to a shorter deal and then give them a better contract if they earn it or they see something special in them in camp or summer leagues etc

that's kind of exactly what I said...moving up one spot into a guaranteed contract...that's a bad thing.

OT but I was reading some posts from my history and in 2008 and people were like "this board sucks, we're winning and all everybody is doing is complaining"..

Seems like much hasn't changed, except we're losing and everybody is complaining

Orange is not an Orlando Magic color.

Anybody else over this being forced? The City jerseys are bad and the court is horrendous.

Where did that color come from, anyways?

Was it because Orange is the state fruit?
Or because the stadium is in Orange County?
Something else?

I wonder if that whole thing actually made any money (the obvious reason-nothing wrong with that)...between a new floor, re-doing all of the promotional stuff and producing the jerseys...those things are expensive!!

It was probably a one-year "limited edition" promotion that they've decided to maintain until they make a dent in their warehouse of jerseys stored under the empty stadium.

I don't mind, the only reason we're a city is because of the citrus industry which is now almost nonexistent but even then it's still Orange County. I say I was a Bucs fan since they wore orange(bc they sucked) and now i can say the same about the Magic lol.

Orlando must be leading in most dunks missed during one season. I can't remember watching one nba team who every night misses at least 1 dunk.

In that same area, I feel we've had more dunks this year than in the past 6 or so.
DJ couldn't
Evan and AG and Vuc rarely did.

All our guys look to dunk now.

Franz is like 50 out of 50 on dunk attempts.

This is exactly how I see this board. Everyone hated on most of the players back then! Some people can never be happy and root for the team when they do good. This was why I created the Hedo gonna prove em all wrong! hype

Yup, nothing is ever good enough for some on this board, we could win by 20 and people would complain it ruins draft position, a player could have a 30pt triple double and people would complain that they are being greedy\selfish or that now weham will keep them instead of trading them etc Kinda crazy that this board might be the only place more toxic than twitter, atleast people there can be positive at times, not here

No matter what happens, this board will be miserable and winning or losing wont change that

Chuma shooting 49/41/83 in the last 10 games. That's in a dysfunctional offense.
