Why would you think they'd want your dead weight for their still productive player AND a pick?

Why would you think they'd want your dead weight for their still productive player AND a pick?Bertans and Dinwiddie might be bigger negatives than Tobias...Tobias was actually shooting at an elite level when Simmons was setting the table for him last year.
Not a good first impression calling long time members delusional trade proposals, pal.

Wait… where did Skybox call the trade delusional? He was just expressing his frank opinion. Nothing wrong with that.

Let me add that I'm not your pal...and that I really could give a rat's a** about someone's tenure on RealGM. I don't think I was impolite, although the poster I responded to called guys trash and dead weight...I basically reworded his proposal to show how ludicrous it was.
Also, thanks DCZ for the reasonable response...I don't cruise into other team's boards to troll, just want to steal Kispert

I mean, he’s not wrong. Why would Philly give us the only quality player in that trade plus a 1st for our bad contracts?

It was a meant to be a joke. I left the “out” out of “calling out.” The “delusional” (my analysis) was meant to be the bread crumb to lead you home. But alas, typing on a cell phone can be tricky business.

Personally I don't see why the sixers would move anyone getting playing time not named Danny green.
Benn Simmons obviously.
Danny green is a good filler contract. Springer is good sweetener
they can move a first.
Other than that. Why would they move Harris he's playing well. Why would they move Maxy he's playing well.
They are not sellers, they are buyers. They need to act like it.

Ha, this must be more humor. His posts have been perfectly fine, imo - speaking as a non-Mod for this forum.

Re: Official Trade Thread - Part XLII
Anyone think Philly would do Simmons + Joe for Beal? I think I could go for that.
They get a Beal & Maxey backcourt to team with Embiid. They would be tough to beat.
Wizards get more upside/potential out of the move, give us some hope to eventually pull ourselves out of perpetual mediocrity.

Yes. Shams has already reported that Philly would trade Simmons for Beal. I think it's a pretty good bet that we could extract a bit more in the package. I'd go for a future pick or two rather than Isaiah Joe.

Re: Official Trade Thread - Part XLII
My last heave would be to see if Philly is interested in a different package for Simmons than other teams are offering.
1) Legit rotational players for playoffs this year
2) Expirings to have Max Cap space for Harden/Beal/Kyrie
3) Lotto pick
1) Move Dinwiddie to Raptors for Dragic + 2 2nds
2) Send Philly Dragic, Kuzma, other expirings (This is where another team may come into play)
3) Offer Philly unprotected pick swap
4) Take on Harris contract
Assuming Korkmaz is in the deal somewhere, then Philly immediately improves this year while reducing tax burden. They then have the following team/assets with a max spot
Maxey
Milton
Thybulle
Kuzma
Embiid
Lotto Pick.
Again, its not the best 'value' for Simmons. But 40M+ in cap space and a lotto pick gives Morey a TON of flexibility.

I get the feeling Philly is bluffing. You just can’t waste a year with Embiid in his prime especially with how well they are playing without Simmons all season. Also a season where there is large amount of parity, seems like they have to take a shot at a title this year.
