Can we get Vassell or Lonnie Walker?

Vassell appears to be part of the Spurs future but I do think that Lonnie Walker is the kind of underrated piece that would flourish in the Raptors system.

I'd imagine we'd be looking at somewhere around $15-20M annually for Bamba, which is reasonable if he continues his current trajectory of growth but taking on Ross to do so... I'm pretty sure that takes us into the tax. Then next summer we'd be looking at having to re-up both FVV and Trent Jr. So... things could get pretty tight really fast

I think it's much more likely to be $10-15M. He's not even the starter on a really, really bad team.

Lol my bad, I thought WC Jr was as they list him as a C, clearly don't watch much ORL games nonetheless, he'll likely command a similar contract to Wendell who gets $10-14M/yr.

Bamba seems very low energy. Seems like one of those guys who plays because he’s very tall. Whiteside vibes. I’m sure the team has better intel and insight than my vibes though so who knows. Seems like a good theoretical fit so it is surprising there would be zero rumoured interest that has leaked out. We’ve been linked to Theis even.

I like Morris_Shatford's idea of Flynn for Azubuike, and have liked that deal since the beginning of the season. He's never been pegged to be anything but a matchup-role player, but I think under Raptors tutelage, he could be pretty effective doing just that. Flynn seems like he would fit the Jazz quite well too actually, so it could very well be a last minute tinker-move if nothing else happens.

I want Mo Bamba though...I feel like signing FA's is still going to be tough with the uncertainty of the pandemic, but once guys are here and in the system, they'll love it and want to stay. Bamba screams "Future Raptor" to me the same way Serge Ibaka did back in his OKC days - not making a player comparison, just a feeling - It took some twists, but it happened, and I've got the same feeling with Mo.

I think you can potentially secure both;
I like Flynn but the situation around him seems to be a distraction and if we can roll him in a deal that gets him out of a situation he is clearly unhappy in and get a guy from Utah that is behind Gobert and Whiteside for a flyer on a rookie deal with two full seasons remaining its win win.

Bamba is a guy who has a giant question mark(s) around him;
He seems to be a pretty strong rim intimidator but the rest of the game doesn't quite seem to be rounding out after three and a half seasons in the NBA and I have no idea what he will cost by way of assets from Orlando nor the cost to keep him as an FRA this summer.

I may be in the minority but I don't see him as a FRP worthy talent considering I will have to pay him a figure this summer I am not confident Orlando would match.

If Dragic's deal can be converted at the deadline into some bench pieces one of whom plays the five then I would be open to that.

Yeah Vassell is part of their core. Walker is probably available but he’s not that good imo. White is older but he can be effective on and off the ball. I think he’s naturally a point guard even though he’s been playing as the shooting guard alongside Murray.

I think everyone's C targets are slightly misguided. We don't seem to value C's that can't hold their own on the perimeter. I'm not sure if Bamba or Wood would even be targets for us.

Only get a C if its a sure fire upgrade over everyone we have currently. Turner/Poetl, etc..Other than that, I have zero interest in marginal Centers that may or may not be better than Birch/Precious/Boucher.

What this team needs is another Guard who can dribble and shoot from the bench.

Poeltl can guard the perimeter though. I think we'd target him.
