Kyrie's unwillingness to play basketball the first few months of the season + Harris's injury meant Harden had to tough it out and help KD carry the Nets so that the championship thing has a chance.. Now it seems Harden is going to take off away games so that Kyrie can understand what KD/Harden have been dealing with.

However the Nets will win pretty easily tonight.. rest of the season if they dont deal Harden though, doesn't look great for them since there are zero usable parts outside of the main 3 that can step up and KD/Harden need to rest injuries.

Nets will win pretty easily? I hope so but how so?

Harden is getting traded if i have to guess.

A Harden trade means bye bye officially to the Championship run this year and will have to reset next year.

No it doesn't. Harden sucks right now.

Simmons + Maxey would make us a better team in my view.

We would become a scrappier younger team.

Harden plays zero defense + lack of effort + a million turnovers + holds the ball for 20 seconds + poor efficiency, etc.

His stats look pretty, but he also has the ball 90% of the time + stats alone don't tell the entire story.(See Westbrook)

We were never going to win a chip with him playing trash like this anyway.

I understand why he's pissed at Kyrie though.

He's not injured, he's choosing NOT to play because he doesn't believe in science when it's convenient to him.
Love Kyrie Irving the player, good human being, but he chose his beliefs over basketbal/Nets.
That took a toll on this lockeroom which is now in free-fall. Kyrie has a lot of blame for the current mess, just as much as Harden playing like ass.

Nash is too inexperienced to be in charge of a championship or bust team.
What system are we even playing? Just ISO and give the ball to our stars and pray? stupid.
Not to mention he fails to make in game adjusments + doesn't really make correct challenges like ever.

Injuries also **** us. Not having Joe/KD for long stretches really hurts us.

I think there's a slim possibility that everything aligns perfectly and we win the chip, but that seems more like a pipedream when you consider reality.

Do we really want to be paying Harden 50m until 38-39 years of age when he's already doggin and playing like this now? Hell no.

Do I blame Marks for taking the gamble on the big three? Hell no ANY gm would have done the same, shame it did not work out due to injuries + other bs.

I think ideally we can keep KD + role players, resign Kyrie and flip/trade Harden for picks/young players to try to recuperate some of our assets lost.

Also Nash should be a goner after this season. Great person, HOF NBA player, shite coach. Gotta move on.

Agreed with everything there. We might still win it all if we lucked out lol. 1% chance is still a chance.

Told ya all. I keep saying the internal issues are bigger than you think.

Last game was the Houston Harden asking out. Kyrie not getting the shot is why Harden wants out.

I hope Harden is just getting rest for some undisclosed injury. His last great game was against the Spurs so I know he has the ability. I really hope he isn't going the trade route. I think he could win with just KD if they are both healthy but Marks needs another playmaking shooter to get the depth/relief, a solid center for him that is a reliable lob threat, and probably another outright shooter to compensate for the loss of Harris. That's a big order. Plus I think Dantoni made the offense work. If he is set on leaving it is certainly from the stance Irving took and the locker room toll that resulted and from the loss of Dantoni. We were doing well record wise prior to Irving coming back but Harden has not been himself from day one. He lost his joy for the game is my gut feeling.

Wow just saw your post after mine, this is brutal actually. I know how he behaves cause I saw him leave Houston. Guess certain Nets fans are going to be happy. This is completely due to Kyrie for sure

yeah Nash too but the thread unraveling was Kyrie, how much you want to bet Dantoni is going to be in Philly soon. Harden is going to have a 7ft shooting monster but I bet Kyrie will get vaccinated after this, there my have been some underlying rift between those 2

As I said befor, Morey will keep Seth(shooter) and Thybulle (elite wing defender to cover Hardens lateral slowness) to supplement Hardens game. Dude knows exactly how Harden operates. Likely a third team is involved. Remember 76ers can say no to the trade if we are asking too much.

Harden is good as gone.

If Kyrie was playing all games this would be a no brainer.

Still I think Simmons + Thybulle + Maxey could keep us around .500.

With KD/Simmons/Kyrie we would be unstoppable. I'm sure of it.

This version of Harden is nothing more than overpaid trash.

And the Nets can say no if Philly is hesitating on including role players. I actually left out Maxey who has the most value on Philly right now. The team can easily ride out this storm and give it one last run with 3 stars. That's actually the smart thing to do. No team scares the Nets if the big 3 are healthy. Simmons is a big question mark.

That’s the hope of us fans. But the locker room issue might be beyond repair hence Harden asking out.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
