One of the Jazz owners is an Australian worth about $20 billion

Tax won’t be an issue for them

Rich people didn’t get rich by raking their money in piles and setting it on fire.

I don't really get the idea of potentially trading for Harden then dumping Tobi for expirings. Why? We will be capped out.

If we can trade Tobi for an upgrade sure but expirings is just dumb we'd still be over the cap and have no way of getting better. Here are some trades that I would do something along the lines of Harris + First for Buddy Hield + Barnes. Tobias Harris for Julias Randle + Rose. Harris plus a first for Porzingis.

Couple variations - you trade Tobi now for expirings and Simmons for two players who are also expiring then "sign" Harden in the summer or trade Tobi now for expirings and Simmons for two players who are NOT expiring and possibly use them and other Sixers to sign and trade for Harden in the offseason.

I don’t think any of those teams do that trade.

Also, dumping Tobi was with the mindset of signing Harden in FA this summer. That was before the rumor today.

I'd try and incentivise Washington to take Harris off our hands and offer something like Harris, Springer, Shake, future 1st for Dinwiddie and Bertans.

Moving off Tobias increases your negotiating position in Harden talks with BKN. It also weakens theirs if Harden really wants out.

It also weakens the team if we have any intentions on contending in this playoffs with Harden.

You want to get Harris off the books?…without needing to attach 1 or 2 FRP’s…in fact you all will gain 1 FRP.

Let’s get this done 76ers fans. It’s time to make the deal.

76ers get out of Harris’s contract. Get back 2 expiring contracts to help open up room for Harden next summer. No need to add vital assets with Simmons before deadline to secure deal with Nets to get inured Harden for 2022 playoff run. These additions will make 76ers bench strong and deep for 2022 title run. 76ers receive 1 FRP which they can use in another separate move to fill front court needs if they choose. Russell is your border line All Star add….Beasley is the shooting…Prince is shooting lights out right now…Beverley defensive stopper.

Russell = 30 mil (1 year remaining)

Beverley = 14.4 mil (expiring)

Prince = 13 mil (expiring)

Beasley = 14.3 mil (1 year remaining with additional year team option)

1 FRP

For

Simmons = 33 mil (3 years remaining)
Harris = 36 mil (2 years remaining)
Milton = 1.8 mil (team option)

Twolves with this deal finally enters into their own championship window for next 3 years.

What say you 76ers fans?

I know you will, but if he plays like he did last year, especially in the playoffs, then he's objectively an asset.

I don't know about the deal, but I love your screen name.

Seriously, my understanding was that MIN won't part with any of their core, which would include Russell, unless something has changed.

Minnesota won’t part with KAT or ANT. Moving Russell is a possibility and would be needed in the deal between 76ers and Twolves if talks, as has been reported in recent days suggests, involve both Simmons and Harris being moved out to MN.

If Beasley and DLo are immediately re-routed to NOP for Hart, NAW, Graham, Satoransky, and a 1st... then yes.

What's your infatuation with this package and what's the long term outlook after making this trade?

Graham is sneaky good, Sato - expiring whatever, Hart is a decent two way rotation player, NAW lost me this year - trending towards bust status.

Max cap space.

Graham shouldn’t be too hard to dump. Hart is UNG. Sato exp. NAW still cheap (and still promising).
