Any deal would likely be a 4 or 5 team trade.... especially with picks involved. I don't see the Nets taking Simmons, I think they would re-route him for a better fit.
The picks may actually be more valuable. KD/Kyrie are super liked, guys will want to play next to them. You re-route 3 or 4 picks and you could end up with someone like Mitchell who is rumored to hate gobert and want out.
Towns/Beal i dont love but either could probably be had for picks.
Maybe you look to break up the picks and give 2 for Grant and another 2 for Sabonis. Then re-route Simmons to the Kings. something like....
Nets out: Harden, Carter, Milsap
Nets in: Fox, Siakim, Sabonis, 2024 kings swap
Philly out: Simmons, 2022,2024,2026
Philly in: Harden, Milsap, Brown
Kings out: Fox, 2023, 2024 swap
Kings in: simmons
Pistons in: 2022, 2024, Carter, Brown
Pistons out: Jeremi Grant
Pacers in: 2023 (kings), 2026 (philly)
Pacers out: Sabonis
Fox | Kyrie | Grant | KD | Sabonis
Mills | Bembry | Harris | Kessler | Claxton
Thats a stud team
I don't think they'd re-route Simmons now. They'll roll with the upside of a 25 year old former allstar, former All-NBA defensive team & former All NBA team player for the rest of this year. KD can feel the fit out, and if it doesn't work, Simmons can be traded in the offseason.
Could do that and still re-route the picks for help. 3 firsts for Fox? 3 firsts for Collins? 2 Firsts for Siakim? 2 firsts for Sabonis? for Grant? We have the salary going out, may as well take advantage of it.
Kyrie | Simmons | Grant | KD | Sabonis
Fox | Kyrie | Harris | KD | Simmons
Kyrie | Simmons | Harris | KD | Collins
something along those lines
