Watched about half this game... felt like we missed so much inside and out tonight. Beef Stew with an impressive 17 rebounds but Williams really made it difficult for him inside. 5 Blocks for Williams and 5 of 5 shooting the ball he played great and he is what you hope Beef Stew can become. Obviously Stewart is an inch shorter and has a one inch smaller wingspan but if he keeps working I think he can have a similar impact eventually in year 4 or 5. Maybe even just a slightly worse player.

You can see why so many teams, including the Raptors, have reportedly been interested in getting Williams who is also locked in to a bargain deal for a few seasons.

The other player obviously is Diallo who played great. Just high energy all the time, and you know Casey mentioned rebounding after last night's loss and then Diallo comes out and grabs 14 of them as well just behind Stewart. Diallo is actually our 2nd best rebounder on the team on a per minute basis. If he was a starter I got a consistent 32 MPG he's probably be a 16 and 8 player which isn't much off production wise from what Grant gives us, and he gives us more rebounds. Diallo really just needs to get a little better on corner 3s and also on FTs and he'd be a solid 4th or 5th guy in a starting lineup.

Kelly O seems more interested in ball handling than shooting lately, which is a terrible development from him. Hayes had one of his worst games this season, IMO. You could really tell we missed Cade on the offensive end as we just struggled to make anything happen for the bulk of the game.
I potentially like Grant as a number two or three offensive option on this team, but he clearly doesn't have the juice to carry them offensively. The first half looked like our dog crap offense from the beginning of the season.

I only watched the second half, but what did you see in Killian THIS GAME that made it one of his worst games of the season?

11 points on 5-11, 5 assists, 5 boards, 2 blocks, and 1 TO near the end of the game (which was a pass Stew should have been looking for and wasn't) in 24 minutes.

This is not a defense of Hayes overall. But seriously, that stat line doesn't scream "worst game of the season" for almost ANY player, much less Hayes. That's actually a pretty good stat line for him and certainly within the realm of "completely acceptable" to even "pretty good" for a bench PG in 24 minutes.

To be fair, I didn't see the last four minutes of the game before posting that, and I think he got a couple more points and assists in that period.

When he missed shots in this game, he missed really badly. He got left open a lot behind the arc and had wide open shots he was bricking. I saw more bad passes from him than I'm used to. I'm surprised he only got credited for 1 TO. I could've sworn he threw it away a couple of times at least. It also perplexed me to see him deferring to Kelly O as a ball handler. Instead of carrying it up the court himself, he'd frequently pass it off to Kelly O to carry up, which just seems bizarre, especially as Kelly O was getting his pocket picked a few times.

He had one 3, a couple of misses, one assist and 1 TO in the last four minutes or so. Prior to that he had 8 points on 4-8, 5 boards, 4 assists and no TO's.

I had it on mute and not really watching, just checking in now and again. I didnt see very many positive plays for the Pistons.

Its one thing to be bad - its another to look awful, like everyone on the team has zero basketball IQ and talent. Its very frustrating and hard to make any sense with.

The team needs a Chris Paul type player - maybe its Cade, but that kind of leader really helped the Suns for example.

Cade = Booker. We need an Ayton and another guy, maybe thats Bey. Hes a tweener though and either needs to lose 15 lbs and work on his speed for a SF or somehow grow a few more inches for a PF.

Edit

Also - would be awesome to have a 1st quarter where the Pistons arent behind 10-20 points. 16 points in the 1st quarter, I think?

Yeah, didn't really look at the boxscore so not basing it on that. He just seemed like he was a bit off on his shot and passes in general.
