Who ranked these? Green is certainly above Boban, Frank and WCS.

This was the outcome of a series of polls we did. I started the polls during the pre-season and finally just finished.

Jalen Brunson's prolly #2 now, with KP at #3. Powell is better than Bullock, and I think Josh Green has proven his worth and should be ahead of Boban.

Boban should be much lower because he rarely ever plays.

Combining stats/eye test... Should be Luka, KP, Brunson, DFS, Maxi, THJ, Powell, Green, Bullock and then the rest... And that has basically been the Mavs core so far.

Good ranks. I wish THJ wasn't slumping so hard, but looks like shooting numbers are down league-wide this years.

It's not just his shooting. He's literally one of the dumbest players you'll ever watch in the NBA. His fast breaks 1v3 or heavily contested long range bombs, bad dribbles, can't pass to save his life, etc... And on top of it all, literally one of the worst defenders on the team.

I was his huge supporter before the season but it turned out that Rick was basically the best coach for him, because he had a very limited role and played under control. And as badly as Rick has been exposed this season as a coach, he did know how to handle erratic players like THJ.

It was clear also under Rick, THJ can't create off the dribble and is a bad finisher around the rim when contested (exact opposite of Luka and Brunson who have great touch), he's a shooter and a cutter.
People attacked me when I said we shouldn't resign him, and go for Heild for Powell swap, Hield is a similar player (better shooter, but crappy attitude), but Mavs would've had ~25 million in cap space with their shooter already in place.
He's not a good defender, but he's good at drawing charges and is a team player.
THJ confidence is shattered right now, Kidd should guide him to shoot and not drive, leave the driving to Luka and Brunson, his hero ball (and Brunson ineffectiveness against lengthy athletic guards) cost the Mavs the series against the Clippers.
Defense wins draft lotteries!

Sucks that they lost THJ, but he was better in Rick's system for sure. The Clippers series showed us he can play defense, but just lacks the focus, energy, drive/motivation, etc.. I don't like that, but maybe they get him back this season, and if the Mavs have a playmaker for the bench, then he should be fine.
