Doesn't the Clippers getting Powell mean Kennard is definitely available?
They probably want cap relief for him.
Wonder who might be in on Kennard? <sarcasm>

I'm pretty sure Rubio, Sexton, and Pangos for CJ works. I'd stop there if we're going to make that type of move.
That one works but pushes us into the luxury tax, and presumably we would have to take back 2 more minimum players or at least 1 min player plus then convert Goodwin to a contract. Tax bill would be something like 7million bucks and we'd be missing out on whatever money gets redistributed(approx 9-12million). Dunno if we're all on in on a 17-20 million dollar swing like that.

If the Cavs have to give a rotation player who is giving them good minutes they should think twice about the trade. Windler and Sexton can go to OKC, OKC can send draft capitol to Portland.

Or just trade Rubio and a 1st for LeVert and be done with it.
Given the compensation difference in CJ/LeVert I would almost rather have LeVert who has actually been on fire recently.

Random-- but if we trade for LeVert, is it possible to extend bothGarland/Sexton ? Or does that basically mean Sexton is gone.

Sexton is definitely gone if we trade for LeVert. The only question would be whether we got something for him within the context of a S&T.

Depends what we'd get and how much Collin wants, because one way or another we need more quality depth on the roster.

I mean he just dumped CAA for Klutch, which likely means he's unhappy with where his market is at and is hoping Klutch can do something about it. That aside, how many ball dominant ISO wings who like to score at the rim can this team incorporate into its offense with Mobley and Allen on the roster? I have real doubts that either guy will work out but I can't imagine paying two of them.

Dunno, I'd be happy if we had one healthy one, so maybe 3 or 4.

You can talk yourself into 15 minutes at PG, 15 at SG and $15-$20 million for Collin. Committing to LeVert, Okoro, Sexton, and Garland in the backcourt is dicey and expensive. Someone there will not be a happy camper…. And pushing LeVert to SF minutes hasn’t worked; that’s why Indy is moving him.

I'm more worried about whether Garland, Mobley and Allen will be happy when every team we play has 4 guys in the paint and LeVert/Sexton are taking between 25-30 shots a game.

Well, for starters I imagine they'd be happier to be playing with nba talent.

Except we know that teams can be more, or less, than the sum of their talent based on considerations such as fit, spacing, offensive flow, chemistry....
The Cavs don't need a lot on top of what they already have in Allen, Mobley, and Garland, but they do need to make sure whoever they bring in doesn't conflict what those three do.

Yeah if we trade for him I wonder what the positions will be for each player. Does Okoro go to the bench? Does Lauri go to the bench? Will Levert be okay as a 6th man in Rubios role for 25-28 min per game?
Im not souring on Okoro, but man does he need to show some sort of capability on offense, quickly. He reminds me of when we have TT on the roster and he was just a black hole and was like playing 4v5 everytime down court because all he could do in get put backs.
Current Okoro also reminds me of Garland last year. He has moments of showing aggressiveness but he is lacking confidence to go out and do it every night, much like Garland did previously. Lets hope Okoro has a offensive/confidence awakening like Garland did.
I need Okoro 10x per game to just attack the rim and get 13-15pts a night. He can do it, he just often plays way too passively and doesnt hunt his own shot. (confidence)

Okoro looks a lot better next to Lauri than Cedi IMO. But Okoro has an explosive first step, runs the floor well, and is increasingly finishing through contact. The guy needs to spend the summer shooting three pointers over and over until it just becomes a function of muscle memory.
