Not that we need to remember how uniquely special he was, but nice to take a brief moment to remember

That moment when he got the ball in the corner late in the game, the crowd screamed at him not to shoot, he shot it and missed it badly…that was rough to watch. At what point do the Lakers just sit/bench him?

Westbrook needs to figure out how to be a facilitator. Get into the paint and dish it out. That would make him 10x more valuable than whatever it is that he’s doing now. Idk if it’s his pride or if he just doesn’t have the skill set to do it, but he needs to not be a superstar and just be a PG

It’s over for Westbrook. Extremely low bball IQ and that’s always been the case

People should blame the Lakers FO way more than they blame Westbrook. I’ve never been a Russ fan, but it’s not his fault Pelinka had a horrible offseason.

To some extent, probably. But I highly doubt LeBron told Pelinka to avoid adding shooting at all costs.

Yep. Seems like the teams that did the worst (barring his original cavs run) were all the ones where Lebron had the most input on the roster.

Russ is an interesting case. He's not a classically dumb player. He's smart enough to keep himself out of trouble off the court. He hasn't gotten fat and out of shape, or into brawls at nightclubs, or (to anybody's knowledge) in trouble with booze and/or drugs. Hasn't pushed a girlfriend down the stairs. And on the court, he does a lot of smart things. He has great vision, and even though he's stat padding, it still takes a lot of court insight to figure out how to get so many rebounds at Russ's size.

But his emotional maturity is nonexistent. He's 100% alpha male, 0% rational man. It's always a mano vs. mano battle for him, the rage builds up, and then he makes dumb decision after dumb decision. He just can't grow up.

Westbrook was always a bad fit on the Lakers. Be it Lebron or the FO bending over backwards to appease him, it was a bad trade and its no surprise that it hasnt worked and is blowing up in their faces. I for one find it delicious, as I can't stand Lebron, Westbrook, or the Lakers. :D

I think the LeGM stuff gets overstated, but since he took a more ostensibly active role in teambuilding, his teams have won four out of the last ten championships and went to the finals eight of those ten times. LeGM seems to have an objectively good record.

I also think the lakers this year are not as doomed as bball fans seem to think they are, but we'll see.

Ha! I see that Indy, which allegedly wanted "multiple" first round picks for Caris LeVert, got an injured Ricky Rubio plus a single pick form the Cavs that will be about the #20 selection.

So much posturiing by GMs ... I'm not sure who they think will be fooled.

Yep, I expect the Celts to do the same and just take TBJ over Coby when it's all said and done. They need it more than we do.

It's also great for us that AK has very good rapport with the other execs around the league

Isn't the Coby thing from some random guy who has never broken anything?

Yep. POR pick can get Barnes. Levert is better and younger than Barnes.

he's definitely younger...by 2 years, anyway. whether he's better depends on what you're looking for. desperate for a low efficiency shot creator? take levert. wanna add shooting? barnes is the obvious choice

Man, it's almost ten teams in the east over .500 (9 to be exact) and only 7 in the west.

In a second, stars are gonna start running back to the WC lol
