It's fair value..maybe slight steal by Cavs.

Hopefully Rubio returns in the offseason.

Decent risk for Cavs. Defense issues not as significant with Allen/Mobley behind him
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

A bit of an overpay, but a good fit. Makes sense.

Isn't he a expiring next year? I'm sure they can unload him if it doesn't work out.

A Miami 2nd has basically no value. It’s gonna be like the 55th pick

A early 2nd or a late 2nd. Who cares, a 2nd is a 2nd. Even a 1st in the 20s doesnt hold much weight. This isnt football.

a 2nd around 32 is way better than one that's 55 - i mean that's 20+ players off the board.

don't dismiss draft picks - they do hold value, but only for teams that have gm's that know how to draft.

it's an overpay for the cavs but levert can still help them - he just needs to stay healthy. the huge question is what they will do with sexton. if he opts out, then cavs won't have much cap wiggle room to make any moves next year. they'll have to be smart about cap management.

indy got a great deal here.

Cavs needed someone who can score, pass, dribble, and make things happen when Garland is hurt or sitting.

I get LeVert's efficiency isn't the best but he's actually able to brute force offense. We basically play 3 on 5 when Garland sits.

i think they had to pay a 1st bc of rubios bad contract but they should have sold sextons useless expiring instead.

I think they should, this should be the first move by the Cavs, not the sole move.

lol to a great drafting gm 2nd is absolutely gold. herbt jones, dosunmu were 2nds just this yr that are potentially top 5 picks.
these guys are gold making chump change.

Im seeing a lot of people saying that LeVert is a good fit for Cleveland. My question is what about him is a good fit?

He is a ball dominant player that isnt a good shooter and is a bad defender. He seems like a horrible fit alongside Garland in that starting lineup. Unless the thought is to have him being a microwave scorer 6th man. If that is the case, that is quite the hefty price tag for a 6th man.

I get it from a talent perspective but LeVert isn't as good as people think and I don't think he's a good fit for the Cavs. I would've rather they held on to those picks and aimed higher maybe in the offseason

he is a good fit because cleveland masks all his weakness similar to lauri. the problem is these one way types are terrible if you have too many. theres a reason mobley is a generational talent it allows cleveland to get somebodys junk and turn it to trasure.

Duke4life831 wrote:Not a fan of this move for CLE. Save the picks to make a bigger move for a better player. LeVert doesnt move the needle for them at all. LeVert has only been equal to the league's average TS% 1 time which was his rookie year. Ever since he has been below the average. He has a career 52 TS% and has only been above a 32% 3pt shooter 2 times in his 6 seasons.

In my opinion they should've saved that 1st for a bigger deal (practically 2 1sts with that HOU 2nd), or just keeping it.

this is a good move for cle i suppose they made levert sexton's successor they will dump sextons max.
but they overpaid which shows they are a small market that lacks bargaining power. mobley makes any team title contenders you dont waste a single yr for draft picks was their logic.

100% agree, I do not see the fit at all.

He's 6'6" versus Sexton's 6'1" about the only redeeming quality I can find lol
