So the Magic is down by 17 losing all three quarters going to the 4th, and then write home with a 16 point deficit to the final quarter.
That's embarrassing.
The starters and then bench were equally awful, if that is something to note.
Out rebounded by 15. Horrible rates of TOs. This coupled for the Celts to have 18 more FG attempts in the game. That is horrendous.
EIGHTEEN??? really?

Positivity stats of the game:
1) The 3-ball as defended very well (Celts at 28.3% on high volume means 33 misses).
2) The FT shot was automatic at 95%.

Coach should have called Stuff's number and turn this in to a Generals-type comedy show.

Damn, it's been tough these last two games. I know everyone has pretty much been crap, but I want to say I think it's best we move on from Bamba. I've really wanted it to work out for him and I thought this year is his shot, but I just don't know any more a change of scenery will prob do him wonders. It's a bit weird that in essentially his contract year he's not tried to be a bit more consistent, yeah he's improved from before but not by a lot.
I keep going back to when Cole on Ross' podcast mentioned how Bamba is not really a hard worker and would rather sleep in, instead of getting up practice. At the time I thought maybe he would grow out of that especially Cole being his friend and is now playing along side him, but he just hasn't.
I'm not sure if playing with a better playmaking point guard will help his development? Who knows, I would be stoked for him if he did finally get it going.
It's probably best to cut our losses and get something for him, the C spot is a position we definitely need to look at. That is unless the goal is to have Wendell C and Isaac PF or vice versa.

Bamba's minutes have declined over the past few weeks. I think the writing is on the wall. I'm not sure why they felt the need to give him one last chance this season. Maybe they didn't fully trust Clifford's evaluation, or maybe it was just stubbornness. But there was likely more league intrigue in Bamba last summer with one year left on his contract, if scouts believed he hadn't been given the proper chance to develop. Now everyone has seen him in a contract year and knows it is what it is. If they have any interest they can just offer him a deal this summer.
Bamba is far from the only issue on this team, of course. Most of the roster is horrible. But Bamba has been here four years so his lack of improvement is frustrating.

Suggs needs to play all his minutes at PG. His strength is being able to defend PGs and being physically stronger than most of them. Instead we have Suggs guarding players like Jaylen Brown.

That’s the thing with Bamba’s situation there was always the element of what if. Clifford obviously didn’t believe in him and right now is looking very much right in doing so. But I think for the front office and most fans they still believed if he got a run of games he’d be at least solid.
I remember during the summer I thought due to coach being a players coach that would benefit Bamba a lot, well I think even Mosley has checked out on him by the way he’s reduced his minutes.
And yeah it’s not just Bamba there’s a lot of things on the this roster that will need to be assessed, it’s just we’ve had 4 seasons of him being a magic and other than small flashes he’s barely had anything to show for it. It’s proper shame, I really thought he’d at least performing to around WCJ’s level.

1. Boston has top 5 defense becouse they have big athletic lineup. I have advocated for such a lineup from the beginning of the season. Playing Anthony and Suggs together gives us nothing on offense and is detrimental to our defense. We have too many guards this year but i hope it will change next year.
2. We have no one to beat the switch. Only one close is Suggs but he is too sped up and makes too many mistakes. Wagner for all his strengths is too slow. Cole i dont even know why he is so bad. If they block his first path he is usually done. Carter doesnt have enough face up game to beat forwards and Bamba is useless. Guess we need someone everybody needs.... fast athletic wing.
