Just messing, but can you imaging Kerr talking to his coaching staff when they took over and saying "We should try to develop Curry into a moderately successful fringe NBA player". Why wouldn't the coaches try to get the maximum out of every player they are coaching? And the Hall of Fame doesn't seem like a target one coaches to, rather that a players skills should be expanded to maximize their physical talent.
When the year began I was willing to trade future for one last chamionsip now. Things changed. I got greedy. Now I want to win the next 4 championships. Now I see the young guys as the core of a championship team 4 years from now withe the old guys being their supporting cast. But for that to happen Wiseman must become a star.
I would have traded Wiseman and Wiggins for a good center. Now I am unwilling to trade Wiggins. Any proven good player requires Wiggins salary for Salary matching. Wiseman has less trade value now than he had last summer. Last summer the risk to teams trading for Wiseman was just low basketball IQ but know Wiseman may be damaged goods with a knee that will always be a problem.
So I say roll the dice on Wiseman. If we win the gamble we get a dynasty. If we lose the gamble we may get no championships.
We might be good enough to win without Wiseman. But unless the Warriors front office is hiding good news about Wiseman we should go out and get insurance. Looney isn't known for staying healthy. Cut Chiozza and get a two way contract center so we we can try to Win a championship with Bjelica as our center and a G-League guy as the back up center.
