D. Rose died and became the hero
Russ lived long enough to become the villain.

I get why they did it, but I’m not a fan of the LeVert trade for the Cavs. He doesn’t move the needle enough to give up at least two pretty good picks in their current situation IMO. And they’ll probably end up overpaying him even more.

Good start for the Pacers firesale.

As per wiretap, it is comical watching PHI trying to explore Simmons and Harden trade market, getting a pulse on players’ intentions. Unless it’s all fake media steam, I have to imagine there’s as much or more going on than in the Lonzo S&T.

Yeah I get why they did it too. It's a little similar to the Vuc/Demar trades. After a few years in the lottery it's just time to put in some chips and make a move for an established player. Obviously Lavert isn't at the same level but he does fill a need after all the injuries in their backcourt.

People talk about his IQ… but it’s much more basic. Russ is a superstar talent with a really bad jump shot.

43% FG
30% 3P
66% FT

Anybody with that high a usage and poor percentages is gonna be a net negative. His TS and FG Added stats have been hugely negative for years.

I think Lebron wagered he could help him get his % up, but the gamble backfired hard. Just a weird desperation trade. Anyway, the season’s not over till it’s over. Whatever happens between now and April is irrelevant. If Lebron and Davis happen to be 100% during the play-in, I don’t have any problem imagining them upsetting GS or PHX. They’re a much worse team, but they still have superstars, who basically just need to figure it out at the right time.

They definitely don’t have the depth chart to go deep, but play-in/1st round, could be an upset.

Not 40MM, but Ben Simmons comes to mind too.

I don't love it either. I think on paper it's a win for CLE but when your best player is Mobley, you'll want guys that match his timeline. When Mobley is entering his prime at 25, Garland 27, Allen will only be 28 but Levert will be 32. All these picks they sent out one them might be pretty good and be the right age to play w/ that young core.

The skillset fit is also really odd. CLE really needs 3P spacing, which is why I thought they got Markkanen and put him at SF where he's been terrible on defense. Levert has always been a terrible 3P shooter. 31%-32% last 2 seasons. Levert & Okoro as your future SGs is going to be tough to make it rain from 3.

I just got a sick feeling in my stomach thinking about Lauri either eliminating us or getting a deeper playoff run than us...

Hey i'm just happy that Lauri is finding his way SOMEWHERE and not headed back overseas

But I personally could care less how successful he is.

Cavs will be a problem for now and the future but they're squad is still led mainly by kids.

We're supposed to be focused on a title.

Quit with the BullCHIT my friend

Just don’t announce it within the first minute of free agency and they will be fine.

I can't believe the NETS are really gonna blow that up.

If those 3 are healthy NO ONE is beating them in a 7 game series.
Only injuries are stopping them from winning it all.

They don't need that much more depth with 3 First Ballot HOF guys on that roster.

If they bail on this now with like 40 games to go and the playoffs looming I'm gonna feel cheated.
I hate them but they are amazing to watch.

I so think were getting some moves this year.
A lot of teams have a legit shot at the title this year.....

The Blazers should be looking to move McCollum and Lillard. Those guys are walnuts if they pay Lillard the supermax.

Yikes. Pels headed nowhere fast. Zion’s never gonna stay healthy.

I’d honestly showcase and trade him for a bounty as soon as possible. Looks like they’re going the opposite direction, going to throw away picks that I’d guess will become gold for Portland.

Lillard is already on a supermax deal. And they just traded CJ.

I just wonder how far POR goes. I can see NOP trading for CJ. They have tons of expendable young players and picks (between their own, LAL, MIL). Hart/Sato/Hayes/Kira(ACL) + 1 or 2 heavily protected FRPs ought to do it.

I don’t love it for the Pels, but I don’t hate it either. They’re never signing anyone in free agency anyway and only had to give up one of their many firsts. CJ and Nance are good additions.
