Is that what you got out of my post? We don't know anything about Randle's personal life or why his kid is there. And it has nothing to do with why Randle needs to be traded.cgmw wrote:prophet_of_rage wrote:Jason Kidd did that with his son. And I suspect it was because Joumanna didn't trust him. In reality, Randle’s talent and hard work have earned him every penny of that contract, but it’s also earned him a certain loss of privacy especially when MSG so blatantly cashed in on the marketability of a 4 year old last season. Every Knick fan at that Laker game knew exactly who that kid was walking around the concourse at halftime for some Doritos.
Super weird dynamic especially since she just had a second baby, but whatever. My guess is MSG made a mistake by bringing his family into the public eye and it’s affecting his emotional volatility.
Who knows if Julius got busted. There's thousands of reasons why he has the family with him.
Just keep it to Julius is playing poorly and needs to be traded.

Ha, did you really just use Jason Kidd and Doug Christie as a rebuttal to Randle being a high-drama weird dude?
The first thing I whispered to my date was that Kendra was probably there to keep an eye on Julius. Our entire section was filled with silicon, Botox, fake lashes, and assorted fillers.
If there’s a point here it’s just that the man doesn’t seem cut out for the NY spotlight. He and his family would be better off in Sacramento or Portland. Honestly, having spent time in Dallas, they’d fit right in. But this 5-year-old-in-the-spotlight sh*t won’t fly in NY. MSG needs to stop posting his face all over everything b/c it doesn’t seem to be helping dad’s emotions.
So you've only been watching the NBA for five years? I'm showing incidents back to the 80s. It isn't new or special.dakomish23 wrote:prophet_of_rage wrote:Watch other teams. It's not rare at all. We're just supersensitive re: Randle right now.dakomish23 wrote:
It’s very rare we see the type of interaction we saw with Randle. Last time I remember that on the Knicks was Zeke and one of our guys when he was coaching.

Congratulations. You just showed a video without an incident in the last 5 years.

This claim of expertise seems highly dubious and more based on your empirical observation than study.cgmw wrote:prophet_of_rage wrote:Is that what you got out of my post? I agree 100% that we don’t know what’s happening in his private life. I just think you’re being intentionally naive or obtuse if you don’t see that the highest paid Knick fresh off a big contract is being a volatile head case, and that while trying to figure out why, the general public (me) might point out that he and MSG were complicit in making his own family a recurring theme on worldwide cable TV and the Garden jumbotron.
While I have no personal knowledge of the man’s family life, I am generally an expert on the specific subject of fatherhood and emotions. Bringing an emotionally volatile man’s family into the picture was not a bright move by the Garden. I repeat: if Julius and Kendra want a public spotlight on their family, they would be better off in a smaller market.
I'll agree with that but I don't like the aasertion by dakomish and others that this is somehow novel behaviour.moocow007 wrote:Oscirus wrote:Please don't make me defend this fool but didn't levron do such things even going so far as having his kids too close to the action?
There's been player coach confrontations on the sideline since the inception of professional sports. And yes, Lebron and similar players have did similar things to the coaching staff. Now you can argue that those guys "earned it" (the right to disrespect the coaching staff in the same manner that Randle did) but then again what does that even mean right? Disrespect is disrespect, wrong is wrong. Randle was absolutely wrong in that situation but he's not the only guy that's ever done that by any means. It just so happens the media has him under a spotlight and anything he does will worm its way up to the sunlight. Randle for his part should know that and be smarter. But that doesn't mean anyone else (Lebron, KD or any of those guys) going off and trying to clown his coach should get a pass.
You've never seen Savannah Brinson? I've seen her far more than Julius's wife. She's quite fine, actually. You should take a look.cgmw wrote:Oscirus wrote:Please don't make me defend this fool but didn't levron do such things even going so far as having his kids too close to the action?
Sure, but Randle ain’t Lebron. And Lebron never played in NY.
Don’t get me twisted. If you want to bring your kids into the spotlight, fine. But if you’re the highest paid Knick and you play like sh*t and behave like an ass, you’d better be prepared emotionally when the crowd turns on you. Maybe Randle doesn’t care that thousands of Knick fans boo and curse him when his kid is sitting two rows away. Or maybe he’s a human being and his feelings are hurt that he’s being very publicly humiliated in front of his family.
After 19 years in the NBA, I have no idea what LeBron’s wife looks like. MSG made Randle’s family local celebrities in the first two seasons. It was a cheap two-bit move by the Garden, and maybe it’s part of what’s contributing to Julius’s public meltdown.

Lebron shoulder-checked spoelstra in the middle of a game, what has Randle done that's worse than that?
