It's weird that they didn't trade Lillard first since blowing it up like this could affect offers. GM can't posture about keeping him to compete because everyone knows he's going to want out.

Portland seems really dysfunctional.

*If no other deal is found for Dragic + First* shouldn't the Raptors just flip Dragic for Ibaka? They are both expiring's, and at least it would be fun and semi-useful to have Serge back.

If i had to guess, Dragic goes to a team to get bought out.. then he signs with Miami.

without a doubt this happens
if raptors buy him out he is not allowed to sign with heat; but by routing him to a 3rd team he is allowed to sign with heat

There's actually a loophole where if we buy him out, he can't go back to Miami - but if we trade him elsewhere, and that team buys him out, he can sign with Miami (We become the team he can't sign with, taking that honor away from Miami).

In a universe where Zion plays of course.

I just hate giving up draft capital when you're attempting to keep your superstar young player. I don't think that often works out.
