assuming NO using their TPE for Nance, does that mean we get a TPE for Nance?

We're seeing the Old Larry Brown mode of thinking which is to back up the truck and get these guys out of
here. It'll be interesting to see who suits up for Portland at this time next week for it does seem we will be
seeing a lot of GB3

I like this strategy of forcing Dame out through trading away our starters so we don't pay him supermax

Adding Nance lessens the getting a FRP back a bit, but this is still better than the majority of NBA fans thought we would do for CJ.

NO must really want him as a locker-room leader.

Cap space and a second lottery pick sounds pretty good…

Turning 3 firsts into 3 seconds still bothers me, and we absolutely should’ve gotten a first from LAC but this isn’t as bad as I thought it would be.

The problem is Portland is not a destination for free agents so I'm fearful our money gets spent on mid-level type players and we're back in the same position we are now...just with new names on the jersey. https://sportsnaut.com/top-nba-free-agents/.
Excuse me please, one more drink
Could you make it strong?

Cut tons of salary here and add a sg with upside to replace cj seems good to me. And a first to compensate talent differential probably gonna be a lotto pick.

Call me nuts but this is a really good deal for portland imo, id call this a win. I’m still gonna say even more so the powell deal was horrendous now, we should’ve started him post trade

Disgraceful.

If we were a market team I'd be satisfied... but we're not.

Not sure who wants to move to Portland to play with Dame on the back of a career worst year due to injuries and not much else.

Too much risk for not a likely enough reward.

Clearing cap space so we can land a player of Norm’s caliber next summer if we’re EXTREMELY lucky seems like a dumb move…

Doesn’t necessarily have to be used on a signing. With that guard walker we picked up maybe we can make a package with the firsts and cap space to sway a team looking to blow it up

Its ironic everyone wants cj gone now everyone is annoyed when we actually get a decent package

This is the trade that could be a real winner.

How much will Jordan pay for his big white center?

If this trade was available, why trade Powell? Was he really not doing much there?

We should milk jordan for 2-3 unprotected firsts

This times 100. I really like the cj deal but the powell trade looks even dumber now

That's because many of us expected/hoped we'd trade up in a C.J. trade.

What we have here is a potential mid-lottery pick, two role players who can't shoot, and two players who will get cut immediately.

I think the CJ trade is pretty good tbh, but that still doesn’t excuse the Powell move.

Yes, we don't want cap space to sign a free agent. We want to trade the 21 million TPE or Bledsoe's near expiring contract. Either of those packaged with the NO first, gets us a quality player.
