Can someone pull up the defensive metrics of Poeltl vs Turner

That will be a telling sign of who the Raptors will go after

Poeltl is a better defender but Turner can actually shoot free throws. My issue with Purtle is his terrible free throw %. Turner has been a great defender in the past hes been in DPOY conversations so he definitely has the ability. I think because of Sabonis taking rebounds it has taken a hit on what Turner has been doing defensively.

Not sold on Turner tbh plus hes injured. Would rather target Poeltl. Not so concerned on free throw shooting, he isn't going to start and I think he'd be a great fit on the 2nd unit. Knows his role, better defender, rebound and block shots. Achiuwa isnt there yet.

They're over the cap by basically Gallo's contract. Bogdanovic clears $18 mil more so if they clear both, they'd have that $18mil to work with for the offseason.

Lol exactly, we are talking about the bench, we are not looking to change our starters. If we get a starter level center then we would rotate Barnes and that starter based on matchup. How hard is that to understand?

Far from awful. He's immediately be our best bench player (not saying much I know)

Wouldn't waste a FRP on him. If we're going the route of adding another wing at that price, I'd be far more interested in Bogi (first) or maybe even HBarnes but Hart is so meh. I'd only really look at him if it costs a SRP or two.

Dragic is really providing a lot of chemistry. That future 20 something FRP is really providing a lot of chemistry. I wouldn’t want to distrust that by adding a talent to the roster.

Pretty high praise from Bjorkren in that article. He would deter a lot of drives to the rim. Poetl would be great as well though and probably wouldnt mind coming off the bench. SA already turned down a 1st from Chicago though

We also need shooting desperately its the same reason Masai and Booby signed Svi and he hasn’t panned out so we need someone better.

We need a good defensive center and a bench shooter. Not every player needs to be a defensive speacialist on a team especially not a bench player

Can't say I'd be thrilled about giving a 1st for either Turner or Poeltl. I think Turner's block numbers belie his true impact, which is closer to average than elite imo. I've always been a Poeltl fan, but his regression shooting the ball would be a major sticking point for me i.e. his pitiful FT shooting might render him more of a situational guy late in games.
