It's actually worse, since Haliburton was openly lobbying to drop in the draft to play for the Kings.

It's not like other scenarios in which young guys are dying to get out of the team that drafted them. Hali wanted to be there and would've been there for a long time if it was up to him.

Kings keeping Fox and pairing him with Sabonis? Interesting.

Kings what are you doing :noway:

Feels like sacrificing the future for a chance to compete for the 8th seed every year.

Trade works value wise. Really didn't want to see Haliburton go, but I'm also a big fan of Sabonis. I don't really know how to feel about it yet.

The trade says something about Haliburton's value if we were able to get Sabonis for him without including picks.

They have a pretty nice squad honestly. I LOVE Hali but him and Fox were redundant and it didn't seem like Fox was gonna net them anythign this good.

Holmes/Sabonis/Jones/Len
Sabonis/Bagley
Barnes/Lamb/Harkless
Davis/Holiday/Mitchell
Fox/Mitchell

Theyre two games out of the play-in and that squad has two all-star level players and some really nice supporting pieces. Not a contender but they could get out of the play-in with that team for sure.

In what world has Fox been an "allstar" level player this season?

My goodness Sacramento, that is a horrible trade. Can't believe they traded Haliburton.

My first instinct was Haliburton? I thought Sacramento had a really good young player in him. I am surprised they traded him. He was a good long term piece, and I think it would have been a better idea to build around him and continue to draft well (for once).

I see this as a move where the Kings continue to be a treadmill team. Sabonis has been playing well but I don't see him as a legit first option piece. The Kings still need to add some depth. I like the move for the Pacers as they move on from the players they had, and get a very nice piece in Haliburton.

Haliburton > Fox, why would the Kings trade him when he's only year 2 and still improving. SMH

I can't think of a single interesting thing about this, unless you mean it like when a friend cooks a dish you don't like, so you say "Oh that's interesting".

Kangz gonna Kang, what the heck were they thinking? Poor Sabonis, I was hoping he'd find a better landing spot. Tyrese will probably hate playing for Rick too

Is this because they took Mitchell too that they thought Hali and or Fox was ok to move?
