Agreed. But in the past month, they have reassured Fox he wasn’t going to be dealt and continue to rave about Mitchell.

Too bad we couldn’t work out a Grant/KO deal with them.

These two trades open up spots for Grant.

Right now the only hopes I have for a Grant trade are Sacramento and (possibly) getting in on that Pelicans/Blazers trade, though I think the Blazers are probably aiming higher than Grant.
I bring up Sacramento as they are going for it this year, and continue to go for it. Grant would look great there, and getting a 1st, and a player(Holmes would be great)is not out of the question.

Man all these deals are good hauls for the sellers to. Hope Weaver gets a deal done.

Weaver supposedly wants multiple 1sts according to Fischer. If they cough up another pick somehow, no way I'm mad at that haul

Multiple first get real. I hope hes just posturing.

Posturing? We only have 2 days left to deal. Time is now to strike

Wow just saw the Kings deal

Pacers just won this year's trade deadline

Turned: Lamb, Holiday, Sabonis, Levert, 2nd

into

Haliburton, Hield, Tristan/Rubio (expirings), 1st round pick from Cavs, 2nd from Houston, 2nd from Utah

Pay attention Weaver, that's how you take advantage of desperate teams

Also no way the Kings wouldnt have traded us Mitchell in a Grant deal if they were willing to ship Haliburton out.

Wtf are you doing Weaver make the trade

I'm hoping Sacramento isn't done and decides to go all-in adding both Sabonis and Grant. They seem like a complimentary pairing and would absolutely place them in the playoff mix.

Weaver told me to tell you we won the deadline by keeping Grant.

If he's really not budging from that asking price then we're keeping Grant. Nobody is giving us multiple firsts for Grant.

Yeah...hard to see another team coughing up a pick to facilitate a 3 teamer to help us unload Grant even if he is somewhat sought out

I don't think it's 100% certain that teams WANT Grant.

With what? Grant? They say no, since Dosunmu is basically another guard that can pretty much do everything in addition to what Caruso already does. And he's a hometown kid on a bargain contract, no way they give him up

From every report out there on the Bulls, they're fairly content to just ride out with what they have

Next…

We were all wrong, bud. Hali wasn't off the table after all. Too bad he's not coming here.

I feel like we could get Dosunmu from Chicago for the same reasons.

They are deep everywhere else and could use Grant. They still would have Ball and White at PG after dealing us Dosunmu.

Make it happen Weaver

I'm surprised too, especially considering where they are as a franchise currently. But Sabonis is no slouch. That's a heck of a player they're getting in return.

I don't think it's posturing. I think it's a matter of him not really being interested in trading Grant barring an unrealistic (in this case, multiple 1st) trade package.

My advice for everybody is to set expectations at zero and assume that Grant won't be traded so you'll be pleasantly surprised if he is dealt and feel no disappointment when the expected happens.

I’d rather have one good pick then multiple meh picks. If they think they’re gonna be good now I’d gamble on just their pick and Bagley and filler. I’d take either of the Blazers picks. Any of them could be top 5.

If we bring in a coach who can coach and scheme offense well, I'll be fine with keeping Grant. We talk about Cade being the man, and that's fine, but you still need a legit #2 scorer in order to succeed (see Luka/Dallas), and that's what Grant can be. You've got a knock-down shooter in Bey, and an athletic wing in Diallo. The bones are there. They need structure and purpose.
