Brogdon and Haliburton are basically the same player. Brogdon was his NBA comparison coming into the league. They already have Brogdon locked up for several more years. Unless they're trying to use one of them for another trade down the line. But playing them together doesn't make a lot of sense.

I think Sacramento got upset that Dallas (the Sacramento of Texas), the Knicks (the Sacramento of the East Coast), Portland (the Sacramento of the Pacific Northwest), and Minnesota (the Sacramento of the Midwest) have all been out-Sacramento-ing them lately... so they decided to go full Sacramento-mode and remind everyone who is the real Sacramento! Hehehe, love it!

Big win for the Pacers. They finally trade Sabonis who's been on the trade block for years and get back a solid return while still remaining flexible for the foreseeable future.

Value-wise I don't think it's a huge loss for the Kings but it does seem strange to make a win now move when they're -4.79 SRS team and in the process go with Fox over Haliburton. Perhaps a statement about Fox's value around the league (or lack there of)?

National media is gonna rip Sacramento no matter what because of group think and everyone wanting to go viral. Wooo likes and retweets! Kings got a young, better player. “Potential” is great but it was still on it’s way to netting us yet another 30 win season. I’m curious to see what other moves Monte makes because the Kings aren’t done.

Kings should have tried to get Sabonis without giving up Halliburton, but people here are losing their minds over Halliburton. Sabonis is not that old. He's a 25-year-old, two-time All-Star and - get ready for this - the best player in this trade. Building around him and Fox is not some horrid strategy.

Interesting that people are viewing Haliburton as a future superstar all of a sudden. Sabonis is 25 and the better player. I’m not angry at this although I’ll miss the hell out of Tyrese. Kings were never going to fix this roster with one trade and im willing to see what else we do next

I understand what you are trying to say, but trading away Siakam would nowhere be this bad. Siakam is a finished product, who was a little bit of a failure after his big contract, while Haliburton is one of the best young players win the league with a totally unique skillset and combination of size and shooting ability. It's absolutely dumb to trade him, but if you do, you better get a top 5 pick in return for this year.
Meh. If the Kings gave up a bunch of picks and didn’t get rid of Buddy’s contract, I’d understand the outrage a bit more.

Sabonis is a nice get and clearly the best player in the trade. But to do so you move the one player who wants to be in Sac who is still on his rookie contract, while not moving the disgruntled and overpaid Fox and Bagley in the process is just a head scratcher. Awful asset management.

Is Haliburton that good (Never watched him play)? I really like Domas and wish him all the best but I expected more of a trade. No picks and a horrible contract in Hields. Going for the full rebuild is the right thing to do and if Haliburton has the potential to be a future starguard then it is probably an even trade, but I don't get that everybody thinks that we killed the kings in this valuewise. You can ask for fit and direction on the Kings side, but Domas is really good and a true pro. Hope he will bring success to Sactown and people don't blame him for the trade. Let's get rid of Turner, Brogdon (can't be traded till summer) and Warren and make the right draftchoices and we might escape the treadmill one day.. let's go Pacers!

Sabonis needs a big man who can stretch the floor. Kings have none of them. Kings also have no defense. This is not a good pairing.

You say this as if the Kings have officially finalized their roster today. There’s a LOT of work to be done and nothing is set in stone. What other drafted players did the Kings give up on too early? If anything, they held on to guys for far too long, especially when Vlade was here. We’ve only had this new GM for a little over a year and finally made a move
