I doubt it. Sacramento giving up Haliburton is a clear signal that they want to go for 10th spot in the play in.

Sacramento doesn't want to add more years in the record books in missing the playoffs.

Thing is, you probably can't play Sabonis and Holmes together, and it' be a waste to confine Holmes to 15 mpg at backup.

The incentive for Sacto to move Holmes for an expiring would be that I believe it'd open up a max or near-max contract slot for them in the offseason (assuming they renounce Bagley too).

Goran and Malachi to Sacramento for Holmes and Bagley...

Josh Hart or Buddy Hield? Both players look like they can be flipped due to teams being close to the Tax after the trades

Wouldn’t Dragic add to their hurt or does a buy out help that cause?

Tax Implications don't go into affect until after the season. Goran is an expiring so it comes off the books as soon as the season ends? Buyout would also help i think.

Could be wrong. Im not sure

Eric Gordon remains atop my wishlist.

Dragic(+) for Gordon

Exactly the type of player we need coming off the bench. A combo guard that can shoot the lights out and is great at facilitating the offense. Also is a proven performer in the playoffs.

The (+) likely could be 2 second round picks or a lotto protected first round pick, along with Flynn.

Siakam/Boucher/Holmes/Achiuwa/Birch/Bagley and they still have no depth at the guard position. I don't understand the interest in Holmes. He's okay at best and not really needed.

I can't see them trying to salary dump Holmes after this trade. If anything, I see the Kings trying to upgrade from Holmes and one name that's popped up for them is Jeremi Grant.

Or move Sabonis back to PF and play Holmes at C.... though that's no different than Sabonis and Turner at this point lol

I would help Flynn pack his apartment if this happened.
Even give the guy a ride to the airport.

Am i missing something with that portland/pelicans deal? Portland is sending out $43M while the pels are sending out $27M. How does this work without more teams/players?

Pelicans used their TPE for Larry Nance. Basically two seperate deals.

Seriously though, feeling strong vibes of being another ‘don’t get your hopes up’ trade deadline for us.

If we dont even get a serviceable bench piece at the deadline this would be a disaster!

If they fail at the trade deadline they’ll sell us some buyout market bull.

I'm a bit surprised we're not hearing more rumours about combo guards. This team's biggest need is a guard or two who can create and hit shots. They actually look pretty good at the big man positions.

If FVV or GTJ go down...

I mean he's only 21, but how the heck is this guy the 4th highest paid player on the Lakers already?

The Lakers would actually do well to flip him and parts for Dragic, if they're really in win now mode.

Edit: just saw that Rich Paul is his agent. Wow, that's brutal value for the Lakers. LeGM has made some brutal moves for the Lakers. They got really lucky during that Bubble season.

Bobby did mention in his presser they are looking at different options including bigs, guards and even play making guards to help Fred or even get both a big and guard so they may have different options.
