Yeah, I'm super convinced.

Hey...don't knock it. It's worked for Trump for years.

That's why Mitchell was a questionable pick for them.

I would think if they trade Haliburton, it would be for a front court player. They're probably going to let Bagley, the #2 pick of his draft class, walk for nothing, so they're probably going to want to get a player back.

They'd prefer to get rid of Hield or Barnes before Hali.

I think they already let Bogdanovic go to Atlanta without compensation too.

What a mess.

I agree with you. However, please understand I wrote this from the Kings' point of view.

They need to balance out their roster. A guard rotation of Fox/Haliburton/Mitchell is not working, though I think it could if they simply staggered these 3 guys' minutes in a proper way. Haliburton could play on or off the ball.

So, there were news about them wanting to trade Fox and Hield, amongst others (even Barnes and Holmes were mentioned in some reports I read).

By trading Haliburton for Poole, as I mentioned, and then doing a subsequent trade of Hield for a frontcourt player, they would thus balance out this roster.

Bagley would be valuable to someone like the Pistons I think, but he's quickly becoming an afterthought. I think he's redeeemable, though, but that could take a while to happen. He needs to play in very specific lineups to be productive, and that's hard to happen in the nowadays positionless NBA.

They could have fixed some of this in a very simple way... by not drafting Mitchell, instead opting for a frontcourt player. Sengun, for example.

All of these moves would make too much sense for them, I guess. It's the Kings after all, they never seem to have a long term strategy, just that wonderful "let's throw **** at the wall and see if it sticks" approach.

I think the Kings view Haliburton very highly, as they should, and likely wouldn't move him unless they are getting a star player in return.

And... Sacramento just traded Haliburton. I liked the deal for both teams.

Haliburton is gonna blow up in the East and with regular, high 30s minutes.

I think he's gonna reach All-Star status in the next couple of years.

Sabonis is very good too, and should be even better if they manage to put guys who fit his playing style next to him.

Haliburton traded for Sabonis who will do nothing in Sac town for years lol. what is the point of developing youngs assets if all you do is to trade them for old vets?

Dude, Sabonis is 25.

Is that an old vet for you?

yes he is old and his game is all in the paint and he cant shoot threes. he could be a nice 3rd option but thats not what kings is looking for right now. they need to find that meta star and its not going to be Sabonis.

LOL, ok then.

You speak like there are many "meta stars" waiting around the corner every single day of the week.

Plus, the Kings wouldn't have the trade capital to pull off this kind of deal anyway.

What kind of unique brand of stupid is this? If Sabonis was on the Warriors 15 man roster, he'd be the 5th youngest guy on the team.

highly disappointing we didn't get in on this Hali action

Wiseman/Poole for Hali + change would've been perfect for us

So Pacers already have Brogdon and maybe one other guard on a big contract?

What is Hali going to do for them that Brogdon isn't doing already?

In the Kings game, Mitchell played far better against the Warriors than Haliburton.

The Pacers are burning down the ship. Brogdon should be looking for a real estate agent and Hield should be renting month to month once he arrives in Indiana.

I wonder if the Clippers would bite if we offered Wiseman and JTA in exchange for Ibaka, Batum and their 2028 unprotected 1st round pick?

When you say something obviously wrong and everyone points it out, doubling down on your assertion is always the best strategy.

As someone said in an earlier post, hey, it works for Trump. The question is, though, who wants to be like Trump?

Nah.

Ibaka is completely cooked, Batum is on the verge of completely cooked, 2028 1st round pick is 137 years away.

Yes, let's trade our seven-foot-plus number 2 overall pick (who we still haven't really seen in action) for a couple of fading veterans -- neither of whom is averaging as many points or rebounds as Wiseman in his messed-up rookie season -- and a pick so far away that some of us may not be alive to see it used, let alone guess where it would wind up in the standings.

Ibaka looked good against the Bucks a couple of nights ago.

But Clippers have Zubac on a cheap contract and they're happy with Hartenstein.

So I doubt they'd be interested in Wiseman.
