I hope Bryant is out of here ASAP. Just a wretched defender. No team can win with him playing meaningful minutes.

Sadly not aren’t we?

Compare it to Indy, who got Halliburton for Sabonis. Meanwhile, we’ll get nothing…

Our only hope left is ping pong balls in this upcoming draft…

He's going to opt out (finally have cap room or do a S&T for J. Brown) and we'll have a decent draft pick this season that Tommy better hit on. It's probably the best thing to happen because they would have added Grant just to appease Beal. Now, that's not going to happen. They'll add a bunch of second-round picks and fluff for the only players teams want and we'll lose a ton with youngsters, which is fine.

So Wizards. Watch us Supermax him. I hope a Simmons deal is available in the off-season (we'd have to give up value in such a deal). At least we'll tank.

History repeating itself.

Watch Beals arm fall off after we pay him the super duper max.

Beal's injury could be a blessing in disguise, there's really no excuse not to go for an all out tank now.

Paolo, come stai?

Guys...This is the best thing given the circumstances. Outside of trading Beal for a haul, there were so many obstacles that we can avoid now.
1) With Beal out, we wont be forced to trade Dinwiddie and wouldnt be shocked if get hot now that he has the green light and is getting healthier.
2) We will not only keep our pick, but looks like we may end up in 7-9 range instead of 10-12 range with Beal out and other lowly teams actually being buyers (NOP & SAC). Thats big with this draft class.
3) Deni and Rui will get ample opportunity to prove they can hang. Rui especially needs to prove he can be at least Harrison Barnes.

Now is where things get fun. The goal for Ted and Tommy can now clearly shift from keeping Beal happy this year to making him excited about next year and beyond.

Tommy should have no reservations about moving Harrell, KCP, Bryant, etc. He has 48 hours to get something done. Get to work TS.

Not so sure about the first one. If any team has an interest in Dindwiddie and you don't have to take a long term deal, you get rid of him. If any of the rumors are true, that nobody really wants him as a leader, why keep him unless just want him to thrive so he'll do well in the offseason. He may be getting healthier, but his game as really gone to hell, even the last three games with Beal out.

The FO isn't trading Beal's BFF in KCP (even though they should).

It’s not the best thing, but atleast we won’t Supermax him.

Dinwiddie needs to go or be shut down with a phantom injury. I think he's already killed the locker room with his attitude. That's not good do have around younger players.

Good point. I could see Utah maybe having some interest to replace Ingles and Tommy saying No because he's Beal's BFF.

Beal's injury is the best thing that could have happened to this failed organisation. Just let the tanking begin and get rid from all your old garbage. Start with the youngers and hope something good will happen. You can't be competitive any more from now on.

Even though Bryant is "young", I hope he's traded ASAP. He's certainly a tank commander.

So HOW do you justify not playing the kids now?
You have to see what Rui, Deni, Kispert and maybe even guys like Ayayi, Winston and Todd look like on the court.
we're not playing anywhere near good enough to pretend we have a shot at the playoffs.

This is turning into a good day for Wizards fans. We avoid making a disastrous trade for Sabonis (whether we got lucky or not), Beal is out for the season which means we can tank (I don't believe we were ever going to trade him at this deadline but hope we can in the offseason), and we look like we're going to be sellers.

If Tommy can get any value for any of Trez, Bryant, KCP, and maybe even Kuzma (I assume we can't move Dinwiddie or Bertans given their play without having to pay another team an asset), I'm popping champagne this weekend.
