Damn. I was hoping that Phoenix would put on their big boy pants and make a move for Grant.

I am not sure how reliable that is, but Woj also said Detroit doesn't like any offer they have.
I believe we'll keep him, and I am fine with that.
Tell me what the Pistons are doing. They should be giving development minutes to their young guys and cut their losses with Grant, Joseph, Lyles. I know Grant wants to be the man on a team but still who gives a **** trade him and move on.
We don't have a lot of guys worth developing. Cade is one of the players that get double teammed the most in the league, he need capable players around him.
Grant wanting to be the man thing is overblown, he does have flaws, but he is a very good player, with a great skill set and would fit well in any team, including Detroit.
He know Troy Weaver for several years, since way before OKC, they like and trust each other, he is one of the few players who actually wanted to go to Detroit, him and Cade.
Detroit can build a playoff team next season, if they play their hand well.
Cade/Bey/Grant 30+ mil in cap space and likely a top 5 pick. If they get a good center and a good guard, that team will be good.
What Detroit really need to do is dump Kelly Olynyk. He is not a starter and neither is Stewart.
If we draft Smith or Banchero, then yes, we'd likely need to trade Grant. If we draft Sharp/Holmgren/Ivey, Grant is great.
