Jake's track record not horrible this deadline, thoughts?
Bledsoe for Grant; Little or Keon for Lyles?
Bledsoe + 2022 PDX SRP for Grant
Keon or NAW for Lyles

Reggie is better than Evan and paid significantly less, no reason whatsoever for Dallas to consider this. You just want the Knicks to come away at the Mavs expense
Reggie is a better defender & cheaper, which is why I want him back...but Fournier is the better offensive player, even if Bullock gets back into the form he was in last year. I have a lot of love for Reggie, but when he has to put the ball on the court he has about as much of a chance at scoring against NBA defenders as I do.
...which is fine for who he is, but it's why he's paid less than players like Fournier, Hield, & THJr. But I understand that adding another one of those guys when you've already got Timmy, may not be the most tempting proposition. So what would you be looking for from a third team? Or am I wrong in thinking that Reggie hasn't exactly thrived for you (so far)?
He has, he's been a big part of their better play. I'd like to see him remaining in the starting lineup even when maxi returns. I like Dallas 1-3, they could potentially find a better 4 than DFS and I'd love to part ways with KP

the plan is to get as good as quickly as possible....I fully believe we could have been a borderline playoff team last year by adding young veterans....using or draft picks and cap space.....can I specifically tell you who? no.

Gotcha, thanks for the insight, and good for him. I'm always going to root for Reggie unless he's facing us in an important game...if we ever have one of those with you again lol. He seems like a genuinely good dude & I have so much respect for the work he's done for trans-folk; I'm really glad he's started settling in.
I remember reading a lot of griping about him when I lurked through your board earlier in the season, and if that was still the case wanted him back to be the veteran mentor for our young wings; Barrett / Reddish / Grimes / Quickley...as he did a lot of on-court coaching for us last year & having him around let RJ deal with the easier matchups defensively.

And Nash out there still insisting everything is fine and no roster changes incoming.
This is why we don't crown paper champions.

Well, let's be fair. Their starting lineup for this game is;
Patty Mills
Deandre Bembry
Bruce Brown
Kessler Edwards
Blake Griffin
Going up against a full strength Celtics team. Their issues run far deeper than just "KD is out".

This was literally the point I was making. There seems to be this belief that KD will ride back in, guide them up out of the play=in scenario and then their overwhelming talent will take them to the title with relative ease.
And its clear the star system with its different sets of rule and with Nash just letting KD and Kyrie dictate everything has ticked off not just Harden but the role players are like screw this. There appears to be zero leadership, little cohesion, and this arrogance that none of it matters.
And I'm not saying they can't win the title. That is a lot of high end talent. But I think they have major issues and KD as Superman might not work.

Oh, he probably already has. We may not convert him this year because, well, why? We’re not making the playoffs. Maybe we do if we buyout Thompson/Rubio. If he’s played his way into a big league deal for next season, for sure.

You could probably sign him for one of those faux-rookie deals you see so often these days. That seems worthwhile.

Oh, I get it. Have you seen the Pacers lineup tonight?

We’re starting Lance Stephenson, Keifer Sykes, Chris Duarte, Torrey Craig, and Goga Bitadze. Only bench guys are Terry Taylor, Duane Washington Jr, and Oshae Brissett. 5 of those 8 were signed to GLeague contracts (or two way deals) in the last two years.
It’s a rough time of year.
