Sometimes a coach has to remind players rules mean rules. For everyone. Woody is a very no-nonsense kind of guy.

I know they would hold the players to avoid injures, Mr. McGroot. We all know.

What I mean is they shouldn't allow GMs to mess with players while games are at stake.
This match made me depressed and I feel the urge to express it.

Since there is no need to spread my bad mood, I'll express it in spoiler.

Spoiler:
This Marketing perversion ruins locker-rooms, destroys any emotional investment and makes lots of players grow into an attitude of:

I don't give s*it about franchises or fans or even basketball at all. I'll make my numbers, get my money and all of you can tank, win rings or make a pilgrimage to La Meca for what I care.

Draymond Green had some harsh words to say about Drummond situation last season and he was absolutely right.

They could easily open and close the trade market coinciding with All-Star break.
No need to spend weeks negotiating. A deal can be made in a few hours or even minutes.

Or better, forbid any kind of trade not done at Summer, saving exceptions for long term injuries.

But I know most of people enjoy Trade Machine, Tankathon and Woj-Shams Race Of Breaking News far more they enjoy games.
The same they enjoy Twitter idiocies about bball more they enjoy basketball itself.

Not strange many fans barely watch games outside Play-Offs. They rather look at the box-score the day after. Who cares?
Regular Season smells more and more fake year after year... Pre Season disguised of competitive basketball.

Just an atrezzo to play Fantasy.

Tampering rules are but pure hypocrisy.
As I said, I should be hardened but it was a long time since I watched a so disgraceful game.

Now I'll go to sleep (04:00h here at Catalunya).

Wish you all good night.
I hope I'll recover my usual good humor tomorrow.

Watched my first Pacers game since before Thanksgiving tonight. Was really impressed with this kid Terry Taylor. I obviously still get notifications from each game so i'm not living under a rock, but watching him on the Pacers for the first time was fun, i know he's had some bigger games including a 24pt, 16reb game. I don't know what kind of potential he has, but he has some junkyard dog mentality in him when he goes to the boards. Pacers surely missed that kind of toughness in the past.

Absolutely he is skilled and driven at positioning himself to get rebounds at 6’5” in among players 3-8” taller. We’ve seen that he’s good at getting buckets off of offensive rebounds. I think he has a good perimeter shot but we really haven’t seen enough to say how good. He definitely hustles to get rebounds.
Shortcomings is playing center at his height they’ve been lobbing over him for easy dunks. Also it’s hard to defend bigs at his size.
As someone else stated I hope the Pacers can coach him up to play a different position where he’s not a liability and can become a more useful player. Kid definitely has talent and desire.

I also had a long stretch during which I didn't watch the team. It had become a boring, selfish, slow, slog-ball style of play that I couldn't stand watching. Even if they had been winning more, the boredom factor would have been huge. The only reasons to watch were to see the progression of the rookies. Even though I liked Sabonis, it was getting old seeing him complain to the officials after every, single call.

Then came the injuries and DNP-Covid part of the season. Decided to tune in again, and what a difference. Yes, the team was still losing, but the change in style of play and level of effort made the games fun again. These guys weren't just playing for themselves but were playing for each other. Refreshing change. I hope they can find a way to hang on to not just the drafted rookies (Duarte, Jackson), but also Washington, Taylor, Sykes, Craig and yes, Stephenson.

I feel much better about the direction of the team now than at any time over the last two or three years. Gonna be an exciting remainder of the trade period and the upcoming draft should be fun.
