Joe/Nic for Grant.
Cam/Bruce/Carter for Kuzma.
Milsap for Oshae Brissett and watch for Torrey Craig hitting the buyout market.
We are a buyout or TPE big away.
Grant/Kuzma/Patty/Kessler/Craig/Oshae would be the perfect fit/skillset perimeter depth for this team. Despite others beliefs rebounding is important, particularly defensively, and a slew of 6’7 players will help.

He doesnt think that they are super confident in that... questions whats postering vs. whats real.
nothing really new
He's right, but if you assume one of the few teams with cap space take Ben for free, you still need to pay to move Harris. Korkmaz is not enough to do that. We just saw Portland give away Powell and RoCo for basically nothing but expirings. They can't expect a haul in the off-season for Simmons who is a bigger risk.

I love the grant deal, but i think they get better offers with picks attached.
I guess id do the Kuzma deal because we dont give up anything but he seems like a bad fit just like the guys he would be replacing. a non shooter only worse he thinks he can shoot

I dont see a scenario where dumping harris is cheaper then trading with us, and it gets harden his cash.
Unless Tobis is trading for expirings by tommorow im not concerned

Well he’s shooting 33% on 5 per game which is identical to Grant. So idk what to tell you. It’s higher than both Cam and Bruce with more volume and attempts than Carter. Combined with transition, the ability to drive on the catch, rebounding, length to defend somewhat we would have 2 perfect fit players who legitimately deserve 30mpg. Add one or two more like Craig I would be happy to trout out Grant/Kuzma/Patty/Kessler/Craig and a Big as a support unit.

Grant may also be at 33% this year too be he does everything else better then Kuzma. Better scorer better defender. he has also had 39% seasons as a secondary player from three, which he would shift back to being.
I just dont see the fit with Kuzma,... low IQ, weak defender, weak shooter, inefficient scorer. But most of all he wont stop shooting. that hurts a team when bad shooters keep hunting shots.
I know you are concerned with rebounding, but i just dont understand that part so agree to disagree on that

Is Harden asking for a trade?
Everything Ive read on this board says that he is happy to play here and has no issues with the Kyrie situation....

No.
If he were asking for a trade he would be gone by now. He is likely open to a trade and likely open to alternate destination in the offseason. But he certainly isnt angry/demanding out. I think he is perfectly content to play the year out and assess in the offseason.
His message all along has been "losing is frustrating but we know if were all on the floor no one can beat us". I think his frustration is more the reality that they arent all on the floor then Kyrie's thing. They had all 3 back and KD got hurt. I think that was a stomach punch for him.
But all 3 feel the same, if healthy for the playoffs they cant be beat.
I think Hardens preference would be to see if that plays out, if it does great run it back if it doesnt lets move on to the next thing.

Re: Official Nets Trade Spculation Thread
so then why trade him? He give you the best chance to win this year.
and if you do trade him, why wouldnt you get every single thing you want from Phili? Simmons isnt even playing...

Woj said recently no negotiations are going on. It seems like someone is lying here or playing games; I wonder if Philly's side has duped everyone just to add pressure on the Nets here.

If that's the case, wouldn't be surprised if tampering charges are thrown in Philly's way in the very near future.

The truth is in the body language. It's pretty easy to read that on Harden's end. Proky lives in the same universe as Kyrie which has little contact with life here on earth. They probably have reached a stalemate and now one side has to cave in.

Why would the Nets care if someone is reporting they're negotiating a trade when they know whether or not they're negotiating? And how would that apply pressure to the Nets?

Again don’t know what to tell you was 36% last season with Lebron and AD. Was a solid defender. Used exactly how we would use Grant.
Yea best to do that I don’t find out conversations to be productive. But I’ll end with this rebounding ends possessions and trying to win when the opponents constantly have more possessions than you is just dumb. Just foolish basketball.

Re: Official Nets Trade Spculation Thread
The Nets are gonna know if Harden requested a trade (obviously).
Aside from just doing normal due diligence, why would they engage in trade discussions at all? That would just piss Harden off.

Nets easily fleece in this trade Harden/Harris is not as good as Grant/Simmons/Curry. You get a shot creater and capable scorer in Grant and an elite defender in Simmons who thrives in the paint. Curry is a great 3 and D player.

Thats basically where we are...
Keep him this year, if we dont win a title trade him in the offseason for Simmons.
If Philly wants him now, we need legit value

Curry is a great 3 and no D player.. His D is horrid.
