I want this mainly for everyone on this board who was dry heaving at the thought of a randle for Simmons swap prior to this season. they're gonna learn the hard way.

part of me would love to see the nets continue to be in this position where Harden doesn't want to play for them and Kyrie can't play in home games.

Its part of my only basketball joy right now.

I think RealGM would be in the running for the Nobel Peace Prize if I shut down this board.

Hoping we send Fournier to the Lakers for THT, Nunn, and a SRP...assuming that the kings don't think a straight Barnes-Fournier swap would be a good idea...

If the change of scenery isn't enough for THT to play his way into the picture for us, Thibs would have a much easier time benching him for Reddish / Grimes / Quickley since he wouldn't be an FA that we had had to convince to pick us and he wouldn't have the same kind of salary-commitment giving him second chance after second chance.

Plus we'd be shaving ~8M off our capsheet in 2023-2024, and both Nunn & THT's contracts should be more useful as salary-filler for any offseason trades we want to make.

lets be fair the only reason we care about the knicks is because of this board. The knicks have provided us zero entertainment for the last 20+ years...we provide our own entertainment here outside of maybe POR or someone like that.

Feels like if the Kings didn’t offer that Halliburton package to the Pacers, they would’ve settled for Randle. Doubt we get Halliburton then but yeah.

That's when you throw in more assets including young players to make up for the difference between Randle and Sabonis.

These rumors are absolutely damning for the Knicks.

If the kings focus was on trying to break their playoff-less run this season, like it sounds like it was, then I dunno if adding future pieces would've changed their mind if they thought that Domantas was going to be the better win-now piece given the form he & Julius have been in this season. Unless you're suggesting we offered them Julius & RJ, but at that point, Haliburton just wouldn't be worth it.

The kid has less self-creation skills than RJ atm, he's still a work in progress defensively despite his tools, and his funky shot still makes it hard for him to take advantage of his length & shooting without space. So I kinda feel like his value might be at its apex right now and that for all of the fun people are having joking about the "KANGZ" doing "KANGZ" things, they may have successfully sold high on Hali...while people were still willing to look past the kids' warts because he is still young enough to work through them...in a way that they waited too long to do with Fox.

I definitely would have packaged JR and RJ for Hali, no question about it.

Biggest thing I notice is the Knicks drop their heads more than any team in the NBA, and Randle leads the way. Fournier been doing it a lot too. Noggindroppers sort of rhymes with Knickerbockers. It would be awesome to have that as an alternative name.

That's my contribution to this thread.

As much as i want Haliburton, i didn't even need him from the Kings. Give me Barnes and a pick. Would even throw in a combo of Fournier, Burks, Noel for Buddy. Had to have been a better deal in there then what they got back
