SAC is fried. Haliburton will be a better player than Sabonis by next season and they would have him for 7 years

It would take a really good player for the Raps to trade their 1st, which could still end up being mid 1st round.

I think the most realistic scenario is Dragic + a 2nd or Flynn for a bench piece.

Kings were the only team willing to give a good package for Simmons and they are out now. I think Nets have all the leverage right now and if Morey doesn’t bite he is not getting much for Simmons.

How desperate are the Lakers to make a move?

Lakers trade: Westbrook, Horton-Tucker, Monk
Sixers trade: Simmons, Harris

Lakers move Westbrook who isn’t working out and bring in two pieces that could actually play well with LeBron and AD. If anyone can bring out the best in Simmons it is going to be LeBron. Harris is overpaid but he is productive. Does this get the Lakers into the playoffs? Who knows, but they aren’t giving up picks and they are already committed financially to LeBron and AD for 1-3 years.

Sixers basically get something for nothing in Westbrook for Simmons. They don’t get any picks since Morey is unloading Harris’ contract and Westbrook only has 1 more year (player option) while Simmons and Harris have 3 and 2 years remaining, respectively. Westbrook gives the Sixers a dynamic backcourt player who might be more effective playing second fiddle to Embiid rather than being the third option on the Lakers.

Doubt the sixers are that desperate, Westbrook has already proven he's not a player who contributes to winning, plus he's 8 years older then Simmons. If I'm Morey and that's the only offer before the deadline, I wait till the offseason.
