These rumors are absolutely damning for the Knicks.

If the kings focus was on trying to break their playoff-less run this season, like it sounds like it was, then I dunno if adding future pieces would've changed their mind if they thought that Domantas was going to be the better win-now piece given the form he & Julius have been in this season. Unless you're suggesting we offered them Julius & RJ, but at that point, Haliburton just wouldn't be worth it.

The kid has less self-creation skills than RJ atm, he's still a work in progress defensively despite his tools, and his funky shot still makes it hard for him to take advantage of his length & shooting without space. So I kinda feel like his value might be at its apex right now and that for all of the fun people are having joking about the "KANGZ" doing "KANGZ" things, they may have successfully sold high on Hali...while people were still willing to look past the kids' warts because he is still young enough to work through them...in a way that they waited too long to do with Fox.

I definitely would have packaged JR and RJ for Hali, no question about it.

"Birdman J.R. and J.R., pigeons know who they are"

You're certainly not alone and I'm probably in the minority, but we'll have to agree to disagree about that one.

All of your (valid) gripes about RJ's self-creation to this point, are just as true about Hali (thus far) except Hali hasn't shown the kind of progress at the NBA level that RJ has...not to mention that RJ is the younger of the two. I wouldn't do that straight up and I don't view Julius as a negative asset, dumping whom would make up the difference.

Feels like if the Kings didn’t offer that Halliburton package to the Pacers, they would’ve settled for Randle. Doubt we get Halliburton then but yeah.

That's when you throw in more assets including young players to make up for the difference between Randle and Sabonis.

These rumors are absolutely damning for the Knicks.

Knicks so terrible that they got me fully agreeing with CB.

If there’s a way to possibly make up the value with picks, you def do that for Haliburton, you do it without blinking

lets be fair the only reason we care about the knicks is because of this board. The knicks have provided us zero entertainment for the last 20+ years...we provide our own entertainment here outside of maybe POR or someone like that.

Came for the Knicks ... stayed for the comedy.

Taking on money to get foundation players has never been a problem for me. I’d do it 10 out of 10x. Get your foundation set. The rest will come after

The comedy & Clyde. Listening to him & Breen describe the garbage we were watching almost made it palateable.

So...no more Harrison Barnes talk? How far did the Dragic talk go...one tweet? 5 different trade threads.

Just sticky the Cam trade thread so we can discuss the deadline trade that actually happened...a month ago. Good times.
