I think the Hawks were willing to trade John Collins+ for Simmons too.

It might make sense for the Sixers to sign Harden for free in the off-season and just unload Simmons for expirings + picks and use some of the picks to dump Harris. They’ll get Harden for one less year at less money too.

Do they even have the cap for him in the offseason? Wouldn't they need to unload Simmons contract or some of their other players in order to sign Harden to begin with. Seems like a huge gamble that could backfire.

I understand being mad after the deadline, but why is everyone so mad already. NAW is not exactly a guy i'd be upset about missing out on.

They have no cap room they would need a sign and trade that is why i think Nets have all the leverage.

Masai needs to give us at LEAST one RELIABLE bench player. Better 2 honestly. Doing nothing risks major injuries.

I wouldn't say anyone is "mad" but it is disappointing to miss out on a player that's easily a good rotation player at the guard position (which we need) for the cost of a 2nd, not to mention Canadian that would likely be very easy to retain long term if we so desired.

Agreed. Raptors likely have something agreed upon at this point in principle.

I'm going to reserve judgment until 3:00pm tomorrow...but count me in the group of people who's going to be extremely mad if we don't flip Dragic or get any bench depth to help our starters

Fournier, Walker, Rose, Gibson for Westbrook.

Knicks got out of the Fournier deal, getting back the shorter Westbrook contract. Lakers get shooting.

The Knicks are where careers go to die. I like it.

He can't be with the starters playing heavy minutes. He surely counted on Flynn or Yuta doing something.

This is the healthy way to look at it. Being disappointed we couldn’t acquire someone is fair but some people talk as if the team isn’t trying to improve. Trades aren’t unilateral decisions.

All of this only makes sense if Morey knows Harden wants to come which I think he does. If they move out Simmons & Harris they would have cap space.

Portland just opened up a max slot in the off-season and Dame wants to play with Simmons. Simmons into their cap space for picks then use two of their own 1sts to dump Harris to OKC should be enough.

Yall having ptsd from Colan jello days when he'd trade the farm for Chuck Hayes at 39 years old plus bring back a guy like Dragic and say we just made a new acquisition ha ha :D we get a player back who's been injured and sell us on that lol

Don't discount the stupidity of the knicks. Also his contract ends next year. Those Fournier and walker deals are horrible too

"It's the Knicks" lol

It's pretty much their trade mark to take on over the hill stars in order to garner some attention.
