You can take Lebron James or Curry and over 15 min you can find 5-8 mistakes for each of them where they don't rotate on time , or don't contest shots or just rest. Even best defenders like Bradley, Allen, Beverly, Butler.... are making mistakes on defense.

That Dallas game Fournier lost Chandler Parsons trough screns for 4 open shots ( three 3s ), Parsons is 41% 3 point shooter, if Hezonja did the same Skiles would DNP him until 2019.
Jennings got DESTOYED against Monta with simple pick and roll since Jennings is way too skinny and small to fight trough screens, again ,nobody blinked eye on his defensive shortcommings.

Payton goes under screens against every single PG in a league, and 80% of them use it for open shots.

Even Oladipo and Gordon have questionable defensive possessions when they force things .

Harris trade happend to open playing time for Hezonja, not because Ilyasova and Jennings are actual future, they are 2 players in last year of their deals, and now out of nowhere LOladipo who is 6,'3 is getting playing time at SF? DaFaq ???
Watson who missed whole year is getting more min than HEzonja?

28 games left this season is waste for Orlando since you won't make playoffs and you are nowhere near bad enough for good/great pick. And yet you refuse to play rookie that you sucked whole last year for?
I'll just qoute WF :"I Feel Like I'm Taking Crazy Pills"

It's just what it is, guys like OKafor,Lopez, Vuc, even Cousins won't get you anywhere and in same time Vuč is awfuuuuul defender.

Hezonja could play more in blowout, didn't , what can i say? They play back to back vs Bulls tonight, no reason to burn starter i guess...

Just watching NEts - Lakers, even scrubs of that team are having fun, watching Magic player bodylanguage it's everything but fun

Except you actually can contend with Vucevic.

pepe1991 wrote:No we are just run by people that know nothing about basketball. Need proof? Look at that amazing 5 min for Hezonja, 18 min for Gordon who was replaced by 4-13 Ilyasova and 9 min 6 fouls Smith.

In mean time, on 29-40 team , who is out of playoff picture for solid 3 weeks now, Oladipo is averaging 40 mpg last 4 games. Trying to get him injuried is only logical explanation for that.

And ofc how about some other coaching decisions that look like shizofrenia under Skiles. Watson avearged 28 mpg in last 6 games- DNPed now, Jennings who we though was on min restriction got 30 min tonight for being horrible as always.

But hey, let's waste last 13 games of season to showcase contract warriors Jennings, Smith and Nicholson so somebody else can sign them, it's not like Hezonja could actually benefit from playing over 5 min ,right?

Just F this season and F Scot Skiles and whoever hired this clown.

But pepe they were right Hezonja was a bum. Let me ask you was the great Mario Hezonja the reason you became a Magic fan?

Since Lebron once went under a screen and Mario Hezonja once went under a screen then Lebron James=Mario Hezonja?

Back to Jalen Suggs... I admit, I'm disappointed in him so far, and my ceiling for him has dramatically come down, but I have hope that he will continue to develop.

I don't see an All-Star caliber player though. Maybe a good backup Guard on a contender similar to George Hill, Cameron Payne, Jordan Clarkson, Jordan Poole, Tyus Jones. Good part is we have him on a long rookie deal.

He is much bigger and athletic than those guys. His 43 % from 2 is bad but not tragic. Its better than Anthony last year, better than some Lowry and Billups seasons. Its 3 point % that is awful but he takes many difficult late clock shots. On different team he wouldnt be resposible for late clock heroics. Cunningham has similar efficiency from 2.
Its not great but his tools and attitude are really special i am not worried yet
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

I’m not one to get too attached to players on Orlando’s roster, but some of you are really underestimating Suggs and where he will be in a few years.

Riveting Trae Young Scouting report.

pepe1991 wrote:
He will maybe have bounce back summer league game becuse level of competition is below G league but this is what his rookie nba season will look like.
You get a guy who has no hoops or lenght to finish around rim or over , or around bigger defenders. Due opponents lenght all his shots will always be off balance and rushed to even have chance to lunch them. At college he was shooting 26 footers that felt like half court shots because of 21 feet lenght of 3 point line, in nba 26 footer is like 1 step behind 3 point line and that's normal spot for shooters.

Overall he is such a flawed prospect. He can't defened, he can't really do anything on set defense but lunch bricks right after a high pick&roll, he can't drive, only nba level skills that he might have are passing ( showed nothing tonight ) and flopping like a fish after contact to draw a foul. Almost like Harden.

So Pepe what do you think about Trae Young today?

Naaaah. We appreciate those respectful "outsiders" so to speak posting here regarding some of our players like you. I mean as long as you don't turn into one of those die-hard cult like Darko-holics who wanted us to bench or trade prime D12 because he was probably limiting Darko's potential or VC- nuts who wanted us to build everything around him... you will be fine and a lot of us will appreciate and outsiders post.

Do you think there are player comparisons for his upside? Doesn't have to be perfect, obviously there are no 2 exact matches. Just trying to get a feel for what is in the realm of his possibility. I don't think he has All-Star upside, but do you?

How about Dejonte Murray? He barely shot a three-pointer his first few years so his FG percentage was higher, but he wasn't a good shooter.
