After this many major dominoes have fallen with no action from us, I'm leaning towards doubtful we'll make any moves.

I would just trade Dame at this point. He's not even what he once was and is getting up there in age. Not sure who the biggest FA is they can get that would leave to go there. Lavine and Beal probably wouldn't leave big money with their own teams to play in Portland, Most all the other big names are RFAs.

Most all the action happens in those final couple hours. This has actually been a pretty active couple days away from the deadline that we don't usually get with big names.

I think Pistons still make some sort of move at the deadline even if it's not Grant. Weaver has been pretty aggressive in his short time here so I can't imagine him not itching for a move.

That's a place that makes sense for Grant just not sure what they have to offer.

Miami is going to try to make a move for Grant? They just made a trade that opens a first rounder for them to trade. Previously they couldn't because of the protection on the OKC pick but now the OKC pick is 2025.

Would we want Duncan Robinson? He's been awful at shooting this year.

Herro?

We would have to add some assets to that one I would imagine but I would love to have him.

Grant would fit perfectly with Miami, Holy ****.

That or Harrison Barnes, but knowing the Heat and the value they have on defense...

Nice, I wouldn't hate getting back Robinson with the pick. Who's that 7 footer rookie they have as well that was undrafted? I can't think of his name but he's pretty productive.

Herro is going to want a MAX extension this offseason and I don't see Miami giving it to him as a 6th man. They are going to need to trade Duncan Robinson and make Herro a bigger piece of the puzzle on offense, or they should move Herro if they don't think he'll be worth the big contract he wants.

I mean hasn't Robinson kinda proven he's not a fluke for long enough between the regular season and playoffs to kinda lean towards him just having a bad year in his prime?

Maybe?

I'd rather have the LAL deal if that's the case.

The other bad thing about Duncan Robinson is that he's not any younger than Grant, even though he has less NBA years they are both 27. Robinson will actually be 28 before the end of this season so he's slightly older. Duncan Robinson will be making $17, $18, $19, $20 million over the next 4 seasons after this one. He's likely at least slightly overpaid. On a good team he's probably the 5th best starter. He's also a below average defender.

I personally don't like that move on our end. Duncan Robinson + 2022 1st (25th or 26th pick) + future 2nd rounder for Grant just doesn't seem like enough for us.

Yurtseven, Robinson, and the 2022 pick. Yurtseven is a true 7' and when given time was putting up 22/16. Only 23 years old.

I would do that deal in a **** heartbeat.
