Re: Russell Westbrook SPICY post game interview
Yea..I'm not giving the benefit of the doubt to a guy whos been averaging under 40% FG percentage for over a month. Since the new year, he has had two stretches of 4-6 games where he's averaged UNDER 30% FG percentage. Now I know FG% isnt the end all of basketball proficiency, but no one can shoot that type of percentage and be helping the team.

His career might be finished after this stint. If you somehow made AD+Lebron team worse after joining, then you are totally the problem.
In the meantime, it's Fiesta at the GB while the Lakers crash and burn!

Carmelo needs to have a sit down talk with Westbrook about being a washed up high usage player and having to accept a lesser role in order to remain relevant.

Nah, someone just needs to slap him in the face with his numbers this season. Since, according to him, that's all that matters.

Remember when people thought the Lakers would be good?
Remember when they would have it figured out by mid season?

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

Lakers need to hire a fan to just yell each game "- 22 this game, 30% from the field, 6 turnovers, $44million a year!!!"

Clippers?
Portland to play with Dame?
Brooklyn to join KD and IRving?
If winning a championship for us is called destroying a team, I think a lot of teams would want that.
Sure ... but probably most teams want to follow the San Antonio model ... where winning championships leads to ... wining more championships ... not into dooming a franchise to years of mediocrity. Right?

Ideally, although most teams are so desperate for a chip they'd gladly take the latter route if it's there.

Re: Russell Westbrook SPICY post game interview
He's an ex-superstar on a superstar contract who fell off a cliff but who's trying to convince himself that he's still that guy.
He'll go back to being a superstar and show everyone how wrong they were!
Obviously he's in denial and that will never happen but good luck making him face reality...
He also acts like the critics don't faze him.
He's also in denial about that, they affect him and very much so.
He's never been a good (or even average) shooter but he has the absolute worst misses of anyone in the league.
His confidence is shot, he's second guessing everything.
In short, an absolute nightmare to have on your team.

Re: Russell Westbrook SPICY post game interview
I don't understand why anybody is surprised by this .
How quickly people forget that at one point Baron Davis ,Stevie Franchise ,Marbury, and Dwill all were tearing the league up and then were gone by the time they hit 32. There are far to many fans that have fallen into this belief that just because Lebron and Cp3 are still effective in their late 30s that every super star is gonna fair the same . Truth be told Westbrook is just the tip of the iceberg and there will be a quite a few more stars that will be essentially done by 32 for various reasons.

If you take the top 10 teams, I wonder how many would take Westbrook on a vet min contract.

All the best long-term teams (who have most of the chips) laugh in your general direction. Look at how guys like Duncan and Lowry can make their team better even as they exit or age. It's about loyalty. When you are Lebron ... and want to be considered GOAT ... and still haven't overcome MJ's playoff prowess ... is there a conflict of interest between the long-term health of the team and "your legacy".
Lebron is a sublime and yet still overpowering player. LeGM seems to have doomed that amazing guy's last few years. Oh wait ... contracts up ... this house is a mess ... I'm off to play with Bronny. BYE!
Get ready! It's a house of cards in a tornado.

Again, that's all well and good but most teams are so desperate to win just one championship that they'd easily make that bargain with LeBron. These teams are going in with full awareness of what they're signing up for; no one's running a scam and pulling a fast one on them. I find this hyperbolic reaction over LeBron being a mercenary and leaving teams with bad assets to be amusing because it's as you all think these teams aren't getting exactly what they signed up for. I'm supposed be shocked that LeBron might not play in LA for the rest of his career?

How about a 10 day contract.

This interview perfectly illustrates the problem with Westbrook. Like PERFECTLY. I am so glad he delivered this interview so that we don’t have to try to define it.

Re: Russell Westbrook SPICY post game interview
Lakers actually went on a run with Lebron on the bench but no one will talk about that. He was a team high -25 plus/minus. Lebron is putting 0 effort on the defensive end this season so you couple that with Westbrooks poor D, lack of rim protection and the Lakers are essentially a layup line.
