SPURS GAME DAY! GAME 56: SPURS AT CAVS, 9-2-2022, 6PM (CT)

We embark on the first of eight games on our annual Rodeo Road Trip after a rare four-day rest. We are frankly as complete and prepared as we can be at this point of the season. And with experiences we've undergone, lessons we've learned, chemistry we've developed, we look to raise the floor and ceiling for the latter third of the season with improved two-way play. For this game specifically, the challenge of paint protection and rebounding loom large as do ball movement and transition play for good to great made shots over their Ent-like lineup. "Good to great" is an apt theme for the next steps for the last stretch of the season. Let's start tonight.

This is one of the best crowds I've seen all year. Soo happy for the Cavs getting it right. With LaVert they are gonna be tough

1ST Q: SPURS 30

CAVS 29

Good O, not much we can do better on D with their huge front court once they get in our paint. Maybe pressure the perimeter pass better.

They got to the FT line 10-11 oof.

I like our pace, passing, and actually our rebounding as well.

We are beating them down the court in transition O, so that's good as well.

Zero points combined from Lonnie and Devin. Jakob is only 0-1 - we have to try to get him more involved on O. Zach has done well around the basket, even as he's working to get his bounce back.

We REALLY need everyone contributing on O, making the most of all our chances and their TOs.
