nah. the fanbase will hate him in no time. he'll be waived by next year's deadline. 1 year. that's all it is. and we get rid of randle/evan/kemba and get a 1st.

you think leon rose cares about what the fans think. randle told fans to stfu while they boo'd him and our front office has shown zero signs that they want to move him. they don't care

Leon Rose doesn't care because he delegated running the team to Scott "The Genius" Perry, while Leon sits drinking scotch all day and sending out dic pics. Take one look at him. Definitely in the slimeball weinstein zone.

Nice. I love a good game of 'guess the pervert'.

Timberwolves out: Malik Beasley, Josh Okogie, Leandro Bolmaro, and the Wolves 2022 first round pick top 4 protected.
Timberwolves in: Julius Randle.

You get 2 defensive minded wings with upside that would fit well with Thibs scheme. Beasley would mean you always had 3 point shooting on the floor (between him and EF,) or you could move him again for another protected 1st. I know it isn’t the sexiest offer, but Randle is having a down year and it gets his money off your books while adding some decent young talent.

Beasley is a problem, but this is the easiest yes I've seen from an opposing fan proposal in a long time.

Please weigh in on my question as well? Can he function as a 3rd or 4th option?

No. He is best dominating the ball in an offense. He likes to dribble on the perimeter and then make his move - like a point forward. Except he sucks. He’s slow, turns the ball over and has the worst body language in the court.

I'm actually a believer that he can. I think in the right situation he can actually be an AMAZING 3rd or 4th option.

I don't think Minnesota is that situation, though.

He's going to need a real alpha to keep him in check, and while Antman certainly looks like he might be that type of guy, I just cannot see 27 year old Julius "I worked out with Kobe bruh" Randle yielding to him. Randle isn't the type to step aside for youngsters.

Knicks should have traded Randle and added a pick. Would have made up for blowing the draft two years ago, and if the FO loves Obi so much and if any posters do, then you have Obi AND Haliburton.
With playing time freed up for Obi.

Oh well, Looking forward to more 38 minutes of Randle 10 of Obi games.

I bet they would have balked at taking any money back. They’re too shortsighted to realize getting a stud foundational piece at a position we’ve been desperate to fill is worth taking on the contracts.

Cap space doesn’t matter when you’re rebuilding unless it’s to get assets. Get your core in place and by the time you’re ready to make your push the contracts will be off the books. Hield only has two years left. I’d gladly absorb him as well as sending them players.

Maybe one day we’ll get a GM who understands this concept

Yeah. We need a another C. The 6 we have aren't enough depth.

my ideal scenario would be to have both Mitch and Bamba as our future at C. have them split the minutes

I have a new born and I get the most headaches just with the knicks alone. It's sad I really thought we were moving forward but going backwards by the minute

That phrase lacks pith.

Gotta be four simple syllables to catch on… But Dolan is too removed to care either way.

I think the battle lines are drawn and it’s up to Morey to fold and give Brooklyn everything they want or the deadline to pass.

nets have little leverage. Harden can walk in the offseason and he clearly doesn't want to be there

They do have some leverage though. Sixers would still have to pay teams in picks and talent to offload enough salary to sign Harden. Nets can take the stance of might as well pay us now instead of double the price in the offseason

they'd have to unload a few picks to get Tobias, but they could also get a solid return for Simmons, so it kinda becomes a wash

Bamba has the same flaws as Noel (poor rebounder, no strength on the inside) but with the additional aspect of an offensive game, so that would be the natural rotation spot to replace.
