12th trade thread.

Listening to Woj now, I am also losing hope. I get why people are skeptical. 24 more hours, and if nothing, we get to do this for another 6 months, wow this is so fun!

Digging the thread title, but get it right: it is my friend's friend who is a friend of Mark Jackson's brother.

Also, no update from him today. Might be spooked we all know about him.

Commenting on a comment from previous thread.

YES I feel bad for Tobi. Great guy, great teammate, great community guy. Good solid player overall. But very overpaid and unclutch.

It's gotta suck to be in trade talks like this when you're giving your all to the team. But that's the business side of the sport.

Also @Arsenal - I agree, not a Tobias guy at all. Just don't think Collins in his place would be necessarily much better.

Feel like there's gonna be no deal. Again, out of spite.

I’m cackling like a maniac reading the first few comments on this thread. Title is GOAT-esque, by the way.

Let’s put this in a mathematical equation of sorts.

Pay up for Harden NOW. Simmons as an asset is gone, plus possibly Thybulle and Curry. Keep Harris and offload him this summer for ———.

OR

Trade Harris now for expirings, sit on Simmons and trade him in the summer for ———-, get Harden with the cap space.

All things equal, I go all in. I just think this is THE magical season. Holiday and the Bucks worked out. Harden and the Sixers has a great chance of also working out. Morey has got to allow Marks to feel like he has won the trade, or this doesn’t happen. My limit is Simmons, Curry, Thybulle, Springer, 2022 1st, right to swap in 2023 for Harden, Millsap, and ———. Everyone is going to be FURIOUS when Harden rips off the fat suit and goes for 30 a night. Someone else said it earlier, but the vision of the Sixers winning it all this year would now involve Embiid, Morey, and Harden all winning their first ring.
"I don’t wanna be Jordan, I don’t wanna be Magic, I don’t wanna be Bird or Isiah. I don’t wanna be any of those guys. When my career’s over, I''m gonna look in the mirror and say I did it my way.”- Allen Iverson

Windy is shooting his shot. What if Windy gets this right and Woj got blindsided? Woj would lose mad credibility and Windy would be be the new Scoop King (aside from his ice cream abilities).

I'd love that, but who the hell are we defending without Matisse? His defense has been league leading... Any proposals of who we could trade for in literally a day to replace that defense even at 50%?

Would you rather make $35million and be seen as a liability or make $15million and be seen as an asset? If he was that worried about it, I'm sure the Sixers would renegotiate his contract into the range where he'd be an asset.

Stranger **** has happened the last two years and I'm loving this alternate timeline. I will get a custom "Windy" Sixers jersey with Harden's new number on it and post photo evidence if he's right. Y'all can hold me to it.
