they arent trading curry and thybulle. why the hell would they give them 2 dpoys and poor mans steph curry thats close to a 73 win team? and theres kd and kyrie thats just impossible to beat with a broken harden.

simmons for harden is good enough for both sides to win win in a same rival conference. morey isnt going to make nets a powerhouse and fired for doing a billy king trade.

Dude ...

if you claim you are in trade talks for a player ... and the other team isn't talking to you. YOU ARE TAMPERING!

I'm shocked that Harden hasn't given the ultimatum of it's Kyrie or me. Maybe he did and durant was like "nah".

Maybe, that’s the whole premise of all these rumors. If Harden sleepwalks through the PO and is salty about still being on the team, that’s dealing KD a tough hand given that Kyrie is already playing PT.

I don’t think it’s gone that far, though, and doubt that the Nets really think the risk of that is greater than the risk of integrating Simmons (plus letting go the upside of Harden being his best self).

I don't think there is any shot of a better outcome trying to integrate Simmons at this point in the season.

For the Nets to succeed with Simmons they need full time Kyrie.

I wouldn’t got that far—Simmons would be far far better than the MIL series version of Harden, which is a legit possibility if not one you can count on. But yeah again I don’t think the motivation is there for BKN unless Harden’s vibes have been completely toxic and they sense he’s losing it.

Seems too confrontational for Harden. He'd rather fail spectacularly at the job he is supposed to be performing to force his way out

I mean KD did that without Kyrie for a 3 game stretch. And it took an insane effort from him. I don't think they get so close to winning without Kyrie the first 3.5 games.

Maybe its possible. Idk.

kyrie is much younger and has shown no sign of decline even with missing games this yr. harden has more perceived trade value in morey's eye and nobody wants to pay 33yr old guy 50mil until 36.

Kyrie at this stage is better than Harden. And its not that close.

I find this quite a knock on Harden. He doesn't want to adjust his game but wants to play his dribble happy iso plays with high scoring and I think that's what he hopes for with the Sixers.

He was called out to be quite a child with the Rockets and it seems he haven't matured at all.

Morey has really put all his eggs in the Harden basket. He better land him in the offseason because I don’t see how he going into year 2 of the Simmons hold out, he still has a job after. And you can see her with Portland, Sacramento and Indiana, teams are going to make their own moves and not wait for the Sixers. This same logic can be applied to the teams with capspace next offseason as well. No one is going to be bending over to help out the Sixers.

That sounds like the opposite of heating up... Sixers took Matisse off the table, No?

The return for Nets....
they trade Lavert ( converted to FRP and one SRP)
traded Jarret Allen (equals one FR)
3 unprotected FRPs
4 swaps

for James harden --> Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Thibulle......

essentially they traded 5 FRPs, 1 SRP, for Ben Simmons (who refuse to shoot), Curry...that's quite an underwhelming return

BKN clearly lost that trade. They can't worry about that going forward though.

I know right? Darn near leading the league in assists and grabbing 8 rebounds per game from the guard position is so overrated...

even if that is the case the best ability is availability

kyrie would need to be Michael Jordan for me to take him over harden knowing he will only play half the games at most (to say nothingh of injury history)

Yeah with bad efficiency and the possibly the worst defense in the entire NBA.

If you want to look at raw numbers then how do you feel about Westbrook?

Try watching the damn games. He has not been good.

This is already year two of Simmons on the trade block for Morey.

I mean youre right.

But you have to assume the mandate gets repealed at some point. Its a temporary problem.

5 FRPs? How do you know those pick swaps will even come to fruition.

Allen is a great Center. But hes not even an All Star. And Levert is always injured/overpaid. And inefficient.

3 FRPs and Levert/Allen for Simmons, Thybulle and Curry would be a great trade by any standard.

Simmons is an All NBA player. Thybulle is basically an all defense team player. And Curry is one of the best shooters in the league.

Morey is an idiot. Why do you need to help out of mess division rival team?

KD is injury prone
JH is aging and wants 230mln
KI can play only away games.
No defence
Harden not happy
Nash is good at anything

Hali and Barnes would be already with PHI uniforms if he would be smart

Embiid Drummond
Harris Barnes
Thybulle Barnes
Haliburton Curry
Maxey Haliburton

Maxey and Haliburton would be only 22y old next year.
