Think bulls will give us a late FRP for Rose. He deserves to go home

Have you seen Jalen Brunson play?
Also, last “PG” we drafted was Frank Ntilikina
I've only seen him play a little bit, but here's what I know-
-he's not a starter on the Mavs
-he's small
-he's not very quick or athletic
-he wants to be paid
-the theme of this deadline for the Knicks is trying to undo the contracts they just handed out
I'm just not enthusiastic about shelling out another 4 years/80 million for a role player. I'd rather shed salary, extend Mitch, and try our luck in the lottery. Just my opinion. Maybe I'm wrong and Brunson is the next star PG. Highly doubt it. Sounds more like a guy you add when you already have 2 stars and need a reliable starter to put you over the top.

He's the starter at PG for the Mavs and a large reason why their defense improved, he's at 18ppg/6apg on 51% and 37% from three as a starter, yeesh what a misinformed post.

Knick fans outside of this board (well, some of us anyway) are dumb as a box of rocks. there are fans out there that are happy about the knicks turning down a Westbrook deal. like, have they not seen Randle this season?

I would probably still do a Westbrook - Randle swap but we'd be trading Randle at his absolute lowest point in terms of value. Hate watching him but he still has more value than Russ AND it only increase in value over time.

Mo Bamba rumors mean Leon probably called Mitch about a contract extension and Mitch did his goofy laugh and hung up on him. Mitch is leaving and Leon knows it. Mitch knows Detroit is about to pay him. Personally I don’t blame him if he leaves. He’s been very under-appreciated here by the FO and the fan base.

A quick Google search shows he's started 24 out of 55 games this season. Was it really that misinformed? Sorry I don't follow other teams nearly as much as I follow the Knicks, and didn't realize his ugly ass wasn't coming off the bench anymore. Yeesh. You gonna refute any of the other points I made?
You know Fournier was a starter for the Magic scoring almost 20 a game? You like his contract? Not saying Evan is a better player than Brunson, but my point remains. I have no interest in paying Brunson.

He’s been starter for 2 months now and it’s b/c he took that role.
Since becoming the full time starter, he’s averaging
17.6 PPG 3.7 RPG 6.0 APG 1.0 SPG 2.0 T/0
51.8% on 13.7 FGA 84.4% on 2.6 FTA 37.8% on 3.0 3PA
In those 30 games, DAL is 20-10.
But you’ll get your wish. The Knicks, in their infinite wisdom, gave these bum ass vets 2 years deals and Fournier a 3 year deal, so unless someone is giving us expiring deals, we won’t have space.
We truly are the dumbest franchise in sports

Re: Deadline Discussion Thread - Thursday 2/10 3pm - Part 2
ESPN has the Knicks playoff odds at 3.5%
538 has the Knicks playoff odds at 3%
Basketball Ref. has the Knicks playoff odds at 3.3%
right now, we have a 13.9% chance of getting a top 4 pick....13.9>3.5
it clearly makes more sense to lean into draft positioning than try to push for the playoffs. Knicks should be sellers
would love to sell Randle, but a deal is probably easier around draft time. at the very least, they need to get rid of 2 of Kemba, Burks, Fournier to free up minutes for younger players. would be great to get out of the Noel deal too and give ourselves some cap space this offseason

He's started 36 games, how can you get that wrong too? Your other points don't even make sense, he's a better finisher at the rim than anyone on our team not named Mitch, so spare me the unathletic talk, he's an elite at rim finisher at 70%. If you don't watch him play why are you speaking about him like you know what you're talking about? Instead of just admitting you're wrong and moving on you try to google him and even then you get that wrong too
The Mavericks seasons turned around when Brunson began starting, he is in no way similar to Fournier, who played on middling teams for most of his career and was let go by the Celtics who needed shooting. He is on the upswing, and could be a 20/7 type of player in the same vein as Brogdon and FVV, but some of you people on here swear the only PG that's worthy of being acquired are superstars. You may not have interest in him, but the Knicks do, and in this instance they are actually right to pursue him.
