I actually think Davis has been permanently impacted by that injury last season. I think his move to Center was because his shooting and side to side agility has been impacted and he can't rightly be a PF at the same level anymore.
Davis never volunteered to be a C before, it was made to be because of Westbrook but I think it's because he's hiding the fact that he is damaged now.

Tale of 2 halves for AD so far. Looked like a G league player in the 1st half. Been everywhere here in the 3rd.

Lakers have same problems without Westbrook. Highlighting what I've been screaming into the void all season.

Westbrook is not the problem, the lack of lunchpail glue guys is the problem. Lakers need 3-4 guys that box out, keep up intensity on defense and don't hurt the team on offense. If you could trade Westbrook for these guys then sure but trading Westbrook for anything else while including future assets (picks) would be a mistake. If Lakers can move Westbrook for Wall without assets then great, lateral move that won't do anything.

I know it's the 2nd night of a B2B but there's zero excuse to lose to this B grade Blazers team that has lost 6 in a row.

No need for excuses when there are genuine reasons for why this team has struggled all season

Boy do I admire your loyalty to this dude lol

This team obviously has many issues beyond Westbrook, but that doesn't he isn't a humongous problem.

The issue is that Russ takes up 44M and he plays like he is worth 5-10M

If we had traded for Lowry and brought back AC we would be in a much better place

Also assume we used the mle on someone else than Nunn since we had enough guards

Lowry, AC, Maybe a wing for the mle?, Lebron, AD
THT, Monk, Stanley, Melo, Dwight

Sigh....

Isn't this the first game Westbrook has missed all season? What does a 0-1 record without him prove?

They could have kept Caruso, they offer 14/2.. 7m a season. Just giving him an additional 1.6m and playing with 14 players would have kept Lakers FO happy and Caruso happy.

They also could have brought these players in for vet mins instead of going crazy on 3s.. OPJ, Matthews, Bjelica, Bembry, Ntilikina, McKinnie

21 turnovers lol

Almost half of them in this qtr alone. None I would consider that were forced.

Trash team.

LeBron has 27 points, 7 assists and 7 rebounds...

First time in his career he's ever had that.. hopefully he finishes with it.

Not a pretty ending for Lebron

AD basically dissapeared

Awful TO's by Monk

THT with an awful pushoff/shoulder

Just too many issues with this team

Need multiple new faces and there are under 15 hours....

Lakers gave up 28 points in the form of offensive boards and TO differentials.. Doesn't matter who you are playing you can't make up for that.

They are the worst team in the league for offensive board and TO differentials.. Been the problem all season except fo r that patch when Westbrook stopped making TOs but then forgot how to make a layup.

Not even a Westbrook fan, just a fan of the truth. iT's a team construction problem, there is a world where Westbrook fits on this team with LeBron and Davis.. It's just not the one where Bradley, Monk and Melo are your 3 next best players.

Had the worst play of the game with under 2 mins left. Down 2, Lakers have a 2-on-1 break and he throws a totally unnecessary pass that gets picked off. Blazers come down and hit a 3. Game right there.

Lakers shot 55% from the field, 45% from 3 on 17 makes and still lost....

Westbrook, Caruso, OPJ, LeBron, Davis -- Bradley, Monk, Matthews, Melo, Howard -- Reaves, THT, Bazemore, Markieff

In this world, Lakers decided they'd only put together a 14 man roster and use the last $1.6m to add to the Caruso offer and add multiple years to keep the guy. They also target OPJ as a main piece with a starting role. They keep Matthews who begged to be re-signed, same with Markieff. They can still keep THT as a project for that insane contract. They don't waste time on Jordan.

They might add a 15th member towards end of season as a buyout if someone is worth the 6m tax they would pay.
