Julius Randle is the exact opposite of what this team needs. An inefficient overpaid PF who thinks hes James Harden.
42-31-75 shooting splits this year with 3.5 turnovers. yikes.

Does Randle’s entire family have a burner account?

I like the Sabonis deal for Sacramento. Guy has turned into a stud. Plus they got indy to eat Buddy Hield's bad contract, which has me shaking my head. That puts a lot of value into Haliburton, who is on a rookie deal and has potentially more long term control.
He's been a good player, but IMHO he's more of a malcolm brogdon type than your franchise type PG.
Is this a sign of the continued devaluing of bigs?

Am I missing something with him?
Does he have the playmaking skills to be a plus shooting 10 assist guy?

MCCollum to the Pels -
Must not have been a lot of takers for McCollum. They had to attach Nance, got Josh Hart, Alexander-Walker, and a 2022 late lottery pick if the pels dont make it out of the play in.

Jazz keep on making great trades, snagging NAW and saving 5 mil vs the lux for 2 not really valuable 2nd round picks. That doesn't say much for how teams value him.

Haliburton is one of the most overrated players in the league. There are legit still people on this forum that think he is better than Ant. The Wolves easily win if sac had him instead of Sabonis.

My trade day prediction - Minnesota gets Harrell. It's deal that make too much sense. Timberwolves need some rebounding and post play help. Harrell is FA after this year, so not a long term commitment. Minnesota has Washington SRP, so a Prince+second for Harrell/filler. The only holdup is that Washington would have to add someone like Kispert or Rui and I'm not sure they would do that, but neither player has set the world on fire.

No way I give up an improved Prince for Harrell. Harrell is bad for a lockerroom.. every where he goes, serious dysfunction follows and he is almost unplayable in playoffs.
Just spend more for Pj Washington please..

I agree on Sabonis-Haliburton. I think Haliburton has become overrated and Kings smartly cashed out when his value is at an all time high. Kings also got the best player in the deal and a potential top 2 player on a playoff team just entering his prime (age 25). Those guys are hard to pry away. For the first time in a long time, the Kings can go back to their old winning ways where they had a play maker in the post to run the offense through.

My initial reaction to the McCollum deal was what are the Blazer doing? But that could be a really good pick they are getting back. unprotected 5-14 and then is it unprotected next year if it rolls over? McCollum is also 30 this year and given he is an undersized guard he will have diminishing returns over the life of his contract which pays him over $35M in 2023-2024. I actually like what the Blazers are doing. Hart is a nice role player starter on a team friendly deal and a better, healthier player than Nance.

Harrell is essentially Naz Reid, with maybe better rebounding but way less range on the offensive end. Hard pass.

Jon K randomly gave a shout out to OKC's Kenrich Williams as a possible trade candidate, which seemed totally out of left field and therefore makes me think there is something there

Not really familiar with his game, but maybe that's a wing player we bring in if we end up moving Prince

We should try for Holmes from Sac. He's the guy.

Sac stole that trade. Sabonis s the much better player for them. With Fox you just don't need Haliburton. Hal is good but not a Sabonis.

I've liked PJ for a long time but would he give us the rebounding we need? He rebounds some but.....

I'd have to pass on the rest. DiVincenzo was my pick for us in the draft but he went to Mil just before us. He's a big disappointment for me. Kuzma is soft.

I still say Beasley and JMAC for Richardson, Langford, and Pritchard. 2 2nds for Paul Reed. JO, Bolarmo, and Layman for Kemba Walker and Obi Toppin.

Bev, Dlo, Ant, V8, KAT
Walker, Nowell, MCD, Prince, Reid
Pritchard, Langford, Richardson, Toppin, Reed

Richardson is 11th man. With Ant out a while MCD slots into starting 3. Reed can replace Reid in the backup C or we can move Naz separately if we get a good offer. Next year at the draft we have a ton of options and leverage on negotiations with Nowell, Reid, and Bev.

Bucks got better - needed SI
Detroit - took a flyer, but a good one (?).
I hate to say it but I like DD for Sacramento.

God I hope we make a move. This is shameful. We have the guy who made the NBA Trade machine and he won't make a trade!?!?

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
