McNair realized that Fox wasn't tradable for anything he wanted, so he traded Haliburton for the best asset to go with Fox - which is Sabonis.

76ers have the incentive to do this now to not waste Embiid's season but also I'm guessing they can talk to their owner if they get Harden now and win a ring about paying the luxury tax for one season to give it another go with a Harden/Harris/Embiid combo.

Irving is 29. Not exactly "much younger" than Harden. And of course Kyrie is going to look fresher considering that he barely played this season. Not that he has made any impact anyway.

In comparison to Harden, Kyrie is more injury prone and a maniac who can leave the team at any moment. Also there is no indication that NYC will ever lift its vaccine mandate, so Kyrie may likely spend his entire Nets career as a part time player. Let's see them win a ring with that lol.

Even last year he was the most consistent player for the Nets. Players like that only move for other big contracts or at least some long term money coming back and you'd have to send like 3 firsts.
