I don't think we're moving either two of those guys obviously but a Jerami Grant/John Collins type while keeping those guys would be awesome.

Barnes and Davion are totally off limits, or they better be. The Kings best bet is picks.
Would you guys sign up with

Bagley + Len + 1st round pick for Grant?

It's an expensive team... I just worry with sabonis, you would definitely lose 1 or grant or Barnes in a year.

If I could resign them both for 30 million/season combined. I'd be down. But I think it's gonna cost closer to 50

No way, I don't want Grant. I do think he is the "best" player that is attainable without giving up core players.
I really want Collins. It can't happen though.

When you look at it though, is PJ Washington the best 4 that can hit the long ball available to us? Or maybe he isn't available.

We need a Bobby Portis. That would be great.

I mean listen. Collins is a better offensive player than Washington, but on this team I don't love him. I dont want ball stoppers and unfortunately I think that's what Collins will be. I think with a lesser role he won't be happy, and if he comes here he's going from 2nd option to 3rd. And he clogs the paint.

Grant at least has a history of playing off jokic and doing it really well.

But end of the day, I like Washington the most. He's cheap. He's young. His defense last year at the 4 was excellent. He shoots more 3s than either of those guys. He has excellent length. And he's going to cost less to get so we can keep our pick for another splashy move this off-season.

I'm a broken record man, but this guy is just ready to get out of the dog house in Charlotte. He's played out of position, and been passed up. He needs the opportunity

Very valid point on Collins and his role.
I do agree Washington is the guy, but everyone has been talking about it forever so I'm almost at the point if it were going to happen it would have already. There is time though.

I think the majority knew Sabonis was going to be good. It was all about losing Hali. It still hurts. He is going to be a hell of a player, but sometimes you have to make the hard decisions and I think this is going to work out for both teams.

Congrats on the win guys. Rooting hard for you guys to make the playin. Always liked Sacto since the Webber days.

When everything is said and done you will be happy with the trade. What you saw tonight is not even like some crazy aberration by Sabonis but rather "another day in the office".......to me it was crazy how bad of a reaction the trade got...you got yourselves a 20/12/6 type of Center with a great head on his shoulders that will be happy staying in Sacto + you got rid of Hield.

Haliburton will have a solid NBA career and may even become an all-star in future but he is also limited in a lot of ways. I think 3-4 years from now there won't be many Kings fans that don't view this trade us a success. Hoping everyone stays healthy.

Saved by Morey possibly as well, as we know they prioritized Simmons.

Lithuanian fan here. Been following Domas' career since he was 16. Guy is a beast on the court with a relentless motor, and the furthest thing from a headcase off the court. He has his limitations on defense and 3PT shooting (though I would say those limitations are often very exaggerated by people who don't even follow him), but other than that he's very good at so many things... If the Pacers weren't an injury plagued team this year, I think Sabonis would have been a lock for the All-Star game the way he was performing. But players from teams with a 19-36 record usually don't become All-Stars.

Haliburton is a very good young player. And he could very well end up an All-Star. But I don't think that trade was a landslide in the Pacers favor as much as everyone is making it out to be. I think both teams could end up as winners in the long run.

Out of the box idea, but I think you guys should pursue Avdija and Kispert from the Wizards

Sabonis
Avdija
Barnes/Kispert
Mitchell
Fox

Or if you guys really want to go all in, chase Beal as well

Sabonis
Avdija
Barnes/Kispert
Beal
Fox

Wizards are ready to tear down and tank. Beal is a great off ball player, he'd fit in with Sabonis seamlessly

I'll be rooting for SacTown right behind the Pacers. Sabonis' debut last night was a standard performance. Once chemistry improves he will notch a 30/20/10 triple double.

You're going to love Sabonis. We did and hated to lose him. He's a double double machine and gets his share of triple doubles with points, rebounds, and assists. Most big men who get triples do it with blocks rather than assists. He's a point/center and count me as a Pacer fan disappointed that Coach Carlisle was unwilling to adapt his system to play through him.

I see you started Holiday. He's a swiss army knife capable of playing 2, 3, and even an occasional small ball 4. He defends, shoots from range, and knows when to cut to the basket. Sabonis finds open cutters.

Lamb came off the bench to score double figures and had a big +/-. He can shoot and manufacture a shot, but he isn't an aggressive defender. You'll probably let him expire as we had planned to do. Basically we put him in the deal for Thompson to let us absorb Hield without going into taxland as Thompson gets just enough less than Lamb to make that work for us.
