Lebron will be point padding the rest of the way . All he as left now is to pass Kareem on the all time scoring list. He’s slowly but surley showing he can’t carry like he’s done for the last 18 years.

Old guy, fresh off an injury, playing on the second night of a back to back.
He played better then I expected.
…
LeBron with one ft attempt.
Who put the hit out on LeBron? This stretch has been Cleveland sleeved jersey stretch bad.
He must have said (or done) something to anger someone high up.
Don't believe the hype...

Not even a Westbrook fan, just a fan of the truth. iT's a team construction problem, there is a world where Westbrook fits on this team with LeBron and Davis.. It's just not the one where Bradley, Monk and Melo are your 3 next best players.
In that world salary cap doesn't exist
Westbrook, Caruso, OPJ, LeBron, Davis -- Bradley, Monk, Matthews, Melo, Howard -- Reaves, THT, Bazemore, Markieff
In this world, Lakers decided they'd only put together a 14 man roster and use the last $1.6m to add to the Caruso offer and add multiple years to keep the guy. They also target OPJ as a main piece with a starting role. They keep Matthews who begged to be re-signed, same with Markieff. They can still keep THT as a project for that insane contract. They don't waste time on Jordan.
They might add a 15th member towards end of season as a buyout if someone is worth the 6m tax they would pay.
This team would be too expensive for Jeanie Buss. Also it's not a great team either

it's the same price as the current team.

You mean Matthews for the minimum?

Its crazy someone that's been the face of the league for so long gets so consistently screwed by the refs. Really hard to understand.

In the past I’ve argued the opposite when people would come here putting too much blame on him, but now I find myself understanding at least some of it. No one is saying that LeBron’s effort or passive aggressiveness are the reasons the Lakers aren’t contending. The point is that his awful defense, poor body language, and lack of leadership are not helping team chemistry/effort and negatively impact the team on the court, and it’s very clear that this version of LeBron just plays and acts differently depending on how satisfied he is with the roster. When things are going well, he can be the best player in the world and a great leader. When the roster isn’t up to par (even if a big part is by his own doing), he largely doesn’t care and it shows. But whatever, agree to disagree, and I’ll leave the echo chamber now.
Mostly agree with you. However, I don't believe he can play like he did in 19-20. His stamina and athletism regressed significantly

Yeah this team sucks.

Quick...somebody spray me with some bleach. I haven't been active on RealGM for a couple of years and forgot that the "General Board" was a complete cesspool of idiots and I waded in! Agghhhh. As for Lebron, I hadn't paid much attention, due to personal issues , this past off season, but did he really want all the moves they made? Was he co-signing the deals by Pelinka? Because, if he did, then just another example of a great player being a horrible GM. Man, Pelinka killed this team.

Agree with the comment regarding point padding, because why not. However, NOBODY, even prime Lebron, could carry this mess.

They say he wanted Westbrook, which I honestly will never believe but that’s beside the point. Losing Caruso was because Jeanie was cheap. Westbrook recruited Ariza. And who knows about the rest of the guys. Pelinka has been terrible at roster construction for years so I blame him.

2 hours and 20 min Pelinka...
Lets start moving
Even if we are trading trash for trash, might be worth doing just to mix things up
Russ needs to go or needs to come off the bench

How do you still not believe this when there's numerous reports stating that Lebron and AD pushed for Pelinka to trade for Westbrook and not Hield?
You're in denial at this point.
Lebron screwed up. It happens.

Don't understand why they didn't clear a couple of roster spots, but whatever. This season is not salvageable

I’m aware of the reports. I don’t believe them because it makes no basketball sense. Westbrook is the worst player in the NBA to pair next to LeBron. He’s useless without the ball, he can’t shoot, and everything he does ‘well’ LeBron is better at. LeBron got a bird’s eye view of Westbrook in the 2020 bubble. Then he pushed to trade for him a year later? Eh. It doesn’t matter at this point but LeBron allegedly wanting to play with Westbrook is something that will never make any sense to me.

Maybe he legit thought he could make Westbrook a better player. Hubris
