Re: Official Trade Deadline Thread: Ends 2.10 @ 3 PM EST
Every single Philly reporter has been adamant that Maxey is completely off the table.
Guessing the impasse right now is Thybulle. Trading Simmons & Thybulle kills Philly's defense, and defeats the purpose of trading for Harden in the first place (winning an actual championship).
Not sure it makes sense this year to trade Simmons + Curry + Thybulle for Harden if that's what it takes.
Just one perspective.

Best bet is to gamble on things working out once the mandates and players get healthy.

It's completely possible that there's no deal and we do this all over again in the Summer.
If it ends up being Simmons / Curry / Thybulle it will be interesting. Thybulle could swing a PHI / BK series.

So does Philly not expect to have to give up assets for Harden? Makes no sense. Pick your poison.

I'm not willing to gamble with a disengaged Harden or waiting for mandates to be dropped when we are dangerously close to falling out of the playoff picture

Good looking out flat earth creature. I would rather get rid of him, definition of cancer right here.

KD will be back in another week, and Harden should be ready to go around that same time.

There is no reason to keep Harden here if he wants out. The damage has been done.
So, explain to me why multiple reports stated, he does NOT like Brooklyn, doesn’t like the taxes, etc?
There’s a reason why I’m going directly at Harden harshly.
If his weirdo bromance with Darryl Morey is that strong after trading for him out of Houston a year ago, kick rocks.
It was reported a long time ago, he wanted out of Houston when Morey stepped down. Now, it makes sense.
I mean, Harden has his reasons. No hard feelings on my end if this situation wasn't what he thought it would be.
But it's time for the Nets to move on from him. I think trading for Simmons might be a blessing in disguise because maxing out Harden after what we've seen this season would be a mistake.

Their plan is to create a super team of Dame, Harden and Biid, they'll need Marks help to get Harden full paycheck no matter how you spin it.
We going to need a coach.

Can you imagine if we trade for Simmons and he needs to sit out idefinitely for mental health issues and the mandates don't lift. That would be the cherry on the turd sundae.

Ben Simmons is an asset? Seth Curry is an asset?
How much of an asset is James Harden if he can walk this summer?
Both teams will obviously look to maximize their return, wouldn't expect anything less. If it gets done, my guess is it doesn't include Thybulle or Maxey though.

Kyrie at 29 and only needing to be full time is more reliable than out shape and getting older Harden.

And they want Patty Mills? Why are the Nets even entertaining these guys? They have no leverage. They’re not in a position to make demands we tell you what we want and you either give it to us or we have no deal.

The hilarious part is, won’t even admit that Harden is looking real worse trying to join a rival contender. Especially, after the KD-Embiid beef.
You can be upset at Kyrie, Nash and everyone else WHILE also admitting that Harden is a quitter, he‘s faking an injury and reportedly, is dragging his feet to demand a trade request due to backlash?
This is the man you want to keep here? Completely delusional.
You know he's faking an injury how? That's a bold accusation.

I don’t blame him. I would too if I were him.
Yep. I would want out too knowing that Nash is going to play him 40 mins in these home games while Kyrie is at home chilling.
All of this boils down to Kyrie. All of it.
How can you defend quitting on the team?
Who cares if Harden has to carry the load for another week for just home games?
He has **** Kevin Durant.
You think Embiid is the epitome of health? What happens when he gets injured and Harden is stuck carrying the Sixers?
Does he demand a trade somewhere else?

KD35Netted wrote:SAS is now saying Durant put a halt on everything. Apparently the Nets are expecting the city mandate to be lifted next month. That makes me happy because Nets have intel and definitely talk to the city, otherwise this stuff wouldn’t be stated. KD/Harden/Kyrie are just freshening up for when it matters most while other teams run out of fuel. You can see it from a mile away.
Not saying this isnt true but SAS has been full of it, especially with the Nets for a while and KD specifically called out. So id take it with a grain of salt
