I hope you guys are joking about the cash. Lots of teams are making moves driven by money. Look at the jazz saving $12m in their spurs trade.

Has anyone seen Ibaka play much this year outside of the recent game we played against the Clippers? Just wondering how much he has left in the tank, his playing time seems to been extremely up and down. Was he still coming rounding back into form, I know he also had back surgery.

I'm a DDV fan, I love his energy, hustle, defense.

But this week I was thinking.. Sometimes these players.... Who are a bit out of control on the court... Just a bit of a spaz...sometimes I don't know if you can take that out of them... Or if they will always be kinda a spaz and out of control.

It's a double edged sword because the hustle and energy is a nice spark but it can be a negative with him going too fast and turnovers from out of control passes or layups.

I still wish him well!

Would be amazing if 1 player fails a physical and Donte has to come back again.

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

Those two seconds, assuming their Det or Sac picks, certainly helps salvage this deal from my perspective.

Ibaka's per-36 and advanced numbers are largely on par with where they've been over the last 4-5 years. Shooting 3s better than ever. We needed "big" insurance for Brook and we got it. A few extra seconds will be helpful down the road.

I've never been a big Donte fan, so this works for me.

were they really mistakes, though?

Augustine was a mistake. Too much and too long for that guy. But Semi and Hood were just nothing contracts that turned into useful trade filler. It's quite possible they were signed with the idea they would be traded anyway.

Thought I saw something yesterday that Dragic had no interest in playing in Milwaukee. Maybe I read it wrong or something.

Donte just isn't good imo. Like the trade. Hopefully Serge can hold that 3pt% in the 38-40% range. He'll be getting much better looks here I'd imagine.

I’m confident that Suki can get Ibaka in shape and Bud can make him look good. We need physicality and size, and Ibaka can provide both while also shooting the three ball.

Move makes sense. Nothing too sexy but hopefully Ibaka can provide exactly what we need from a big man with Brook's season still up in the air. Now I wonder if the Bucks can get another rotation player in the buyout market.

Best part about this is we get a defensive guy with an edge that can play down low and shoot 40% from three. Yeah hes lost a step, yeah hes not 32, probably 35+ but this also means something big. A bigger role for Grayson. Now trade for Grant Williams somehow or go after any buyout game changers

I think Serge is kind of a D-bag but I also can't deny that this balances the roster, is great Brook insurance, and he's basically a perfect big to play next to Giannis.

Ibaka still looks pretty good but his minutes have gone down a lot this season. I think he will be pretty useful in the playoffs.

The cash really doesn't matter. We're going to add like 15m to the owners pay roll with the additional salary once the open roster spots are filled. Maybe it's Horst trying to say 'Look I did my best to save money' but since we're in the repeater tax that amount is miniscule.

I'm a little behind - just saw. If Ibaka can have even a mini-resurgence this is a good win-now move, which is perfectly acceptable with our current team of course, being defending champs. I had moved on from DDV, truthfully. I think Allen is generally better for what we need.

Like the roster spot flexibility. MTC for sure.
