No offense, but all you people talking about this and still never mentioning Ersan make me kind of sick. For shame.

I wish DDV could have gotten more momentum going coming back from injury but he really hasn't been the same and I don't think we had interest in paying him next year. Thrilled to dump Hood and Oje who have been uncomfortably terrible.

Got a stretch 5 for dead weight and a guy who wasn't going to be here next year and was probably behind a logjam come playoff time. And somehow ended up with picks.

Love it, though cutting bait with DDV is a bit sad.

Augustine was a mistake. Too much and too long for that guy. But Semi and Hood were just nothing contracts that turned into useful trade filler. It's quite possible they were signed with the idea they would be traded anyway.

I mean it worked out, but I don't think you sign a guy you want to trade as filler as soon as free agency opens. You could have literally sent any other 1 year deal instead of Semi and had more value lol

I'll be brutally honest - I don't understand why people think Bledsoe "deserves" to win a ring (not picking on just ABucksFan, either).

Just crap luck on the DDV injuries. I think he's a much more valuable piece than this trade shows if not for that. Not mad at the move though.

Eh, looks like it will be at least in the 40's. Not that good of a pick.

That super late 2nd this year is strictly for tax savings next season.

We're going to need another guard I would think, especially with Hill's sketchy availability lately. Whether that's something else today or via buyout is the question.

Pretty bummed I can no longer say "Imagine if DDV was good" in game threads and post games anymore.

He was a huge part of making the Bucks relevant again. Just couldn't help them take the next step. His first full season under Bud was outstanding and doesn't get nearly enough credit.

Yeah they were mistakes.

to me a mistake in NBA GM terms is something that either significantly hurts your team's success or later requires additional resources to rectify. that is not the case here. these were simply end of the rotation players that didn't pan out. you can't expect a 100% success rate. it's arguable whether or not we ever planned on giving them meaningful minutes down the stretch anyway.

so to me, this is less of correcting a mistake and more of keeping the cupboards organized and emptied of expired goods.
